My two and half week old has been showing hunger cues every hour and half or two hours and I offer however much formula until he stops. Sometimes he wants to go to 3-4 oz which seems like a lot this early on. I’ve tried offering a paci/swaddling and he doesn’t need a diaper change but he gets so fussy and I can’t calm him any other way but to feed him. However his stomach seems upset, he has had diarrhea and doesn’t want to burp after feedings. I’ve thought he’s just been cluster feeding but it’s been over a week of this so it feels prolong.

3-4oz is a lot for a two week old. My baby was doing the same but without the stomach issues. It us easy to over feed with formula and their stomach is about the size of a quarter right now so 3-4 is a lot. I would contact their pediatrician.

Hi! My 3 week old has been on one since 2 weeks old. He cluster feeds, he’s fussy if he isn’t eating or on me and nothing fixes it. His poop got runny and he burps himself better than me burping him. His pediatrician said as long as he isn’t spitting up, that it was fine and if he has no fever, chances are the upset tummy is from his lack of burping and to try burping him after every ounce.

By diarrhea what do you mean?
Cluster feeding/wanting to eat every hour is normal for a newborn. 3-4 is not a lot either. Try mylicon gas drops and maybe try another bottle with a different flow nipple or a different formula? Call his ped

Every baby is different. My 6 week old has been taking 4 oz since 3 weeks

I talked to my pediatrician about this because my baby seemed like he was constantly hungry and i was worried i was overfeeding him. He said as long as he’s not spitting up their fine. Some babies just eat more. He also said their bellys may look big but as long as they’re still some squishyness to it, it’s fine. If their belly is hard then they definitely have too much gas built up

Hunger cues sometimes look the same as them needing to burp. Sometimes I'll think my 2 week old wants to feed again after she's just fed, but a good burp fixes it

My 3 week old does the same and takes in about 3-3.5 oz of formula. She seems to eat to console herself which I thought I was over feeding but she doesn’t have stomach issues and barely spits ups… burps well but has some gas issues at times. I would double check with pediatrician. That’s what I did and they said as long as she’s not vomiting and taking it in well then it’s ok but not to go above 4oz yet. She’s gaining weight at a safe pace so we’re good to go!
Good luck with your little one 🩵🩷
