My 14 weeks baby absolutely hates the car.
She never liked it but it got worse and worse.
I had a few long ish drives (30min) with baby this week, and from start to finish it's intense crying, at the point she gets all phlegmy and chokes. She is such in distress and looks so scared. Even 5min is too much.
I always make sure she's fed, clean and happy before every drive and I tried leaving when she's ready for a nap but it's not helping. She will cry and won't fall asleep.
I tried having her in the front passenger seat to see if seeing me reassures her, but nope. It doesn't work...
I don't know what to do. I don't want to leave the house anymore as each drive is traumatic for her and I. I get so stressed and driving becomes dangerous.

No advice but very much in the same boat! Can be very hit or miss, Iāve found sitting in the back with her helps me but obviously can only do that when my husband is driving!! Have you checked thereās nothing irritating her in the car seat? Newborn insert out? Reclining it / sitting it up if yours has this setting? I also got this toy which sometimes helps. And music!! The happy song by Imogen heap x

I had the same issue but the activity spiral and music with lyrics does helps a lot! She now happier in the car šš»

It gets better. Mine was like this and with weekly journey of 1h, it was tough. Hes 10months now and fine s long as he has toys.
If youre on Facebook, join bump to booster and ask for a fit check. Its possible baby doesn't have a good fit in the seat and is uncomfortable

Toys like above help but tbf some little ones just hate the car. My son was the same as a baby, a bit better now he's a toddler and I just give him a ton of books to read xx used to annoy me when people would say, "Doe he not just go to sleep?" Xx
