Feeding

I breastfed my daughter for a year, she had tongue tie and we had thar released, our journey was hard but we got there. I now have a 6 week old son who I breastfeed and it's been a battle, he struggles latching and staying on etc it got a bit better and I definitely have milk, but it's been very hard at times. I'm now at the point where I dread feeding times, it's constantly on my mind, when did I last feed? How long did he feed? Is he going to be uncomfortably upset during or after or both. Etc etc it's a real battle I know he's doing what babies do cluster feed, fuss etc but I just cant manage it. I actually feel like rubbing away. I feel like a failure at everything. I'm like a stuck record going on about it all time. My husbands getting annoyed with me. I just this minute given up breastfeeding as I was crying. Getting annoyed etc it's not fair on my baby. So I got a ready made formula bottle and given him that, although he still had trouble latching on bottle but he did take it.
Why am I still feeling like this and not relieved has taken a bottle. I really wanted to enjoy breastfeeding but I can't. I also don't know why I can't feel good about bottle feeding, when I know it will help us both. I just can't rationalise.
Also how do I just stop making milk if I don't breastfeed?

Since he took the bottle of formula maybe you can just pump your breast milk and then bottle feed him with that pumped milk ❤️

Has he been checked for tongue tie? Sounds like it might be that again. Don’t give up - it’s tough but it’s the newborn trenches talking! Xx

Have you ever..

So you hear other women telling their birth stories, right? Or are in the environment where they’re being shared.

Have you ever been listening and they get real dramatic about something specific happening to them, like say “they took 4 times to get an IV in and left me bruised” or “oh I had to have a blood bag hung” and you think oh I went through different, I’ll say different because “worse” is subjective.
But I mean like you realize oh I had 3 bags of blood hung, or I had multiple IVs and bruised, arm blew up with saline
Yet realize, you’ve never been given the praise or attention you see them get or others with different experiences than yours, and have you just felt.. some type of way about it. I honestly can’t even describe it, it’s like jealousy of them getting credit when you’ve never been told good job but almost died and no one ever cares when you tell your story.

Is the way I tell off my child wrong?

My son is 2 and 2M and has his moments where he doesn’t share, smacks and pushes children (or me even) I ask him kindly several times to stop but still he will continue so I end up raising my voice and say “no! No hitting” and will pull his hand away etc idk sometimes I feel to harsh is this bad of me?

Overfeeding?

My two and half week old has been showing hunger cues every hour and half or two hours and I offer however much formula until he stops. Sometimes he wants to go to 3-4 oz which seems like a lot this early on. I’ve tried offering a paci/swaddling and he doesn’t need a diaper change but he gets so fussy and I can’t calm him any other way but to feed him. However his stomach seems upset, he has had diarrhea and doesn’t want to burp after feedings. I’ve thought he’s just been cluster feeding but it’s been over a week of this so it feels prolong.

I’m finding it impossible to put my 12 week old daughter down for daytime naps and independent sleep at night.

She loves to sleep upright on on mine or my husbands chests… and happily falls asleep cross body after a feed (breastfed).

Im not expecting a full nights sleep from her, but I’d just love some independent sleep so I don’t feel prisoner to the sofa during the day and a worried co-sleeper at night!

My husband is adamant that there’s no point starting sleep training until she’s 4 months.. but I disagree!

Any tips are welcome!

Are you happy with your breasts?

My are a size B and i hate them, they look smaller than a B and one is slightly smaller. I also have one inverted nipple.
I feel so self conscious and i would get a boob job but i cannot afford and i am scared to have it done.
I hate them so much and have no confidence 😕
Any advice or tips would be so helpful, thankyou

Sleeping through the night

Anyone else’s LO suddenly started sleeping through. This isn't me complaining or boasting? It took me completely by surprise and can't remember my son doing it this early.
