Who is responsible?

Ok so out with my 2.5 year old, my sister and 2 friends. Sister has my kid and has him sitting on the table facing her. I warn her to remove her glasses or he might grab them. She doesn't listen.

A few minutes later he grabs them and throws them and they go over the balcony and dissapear from view. There where 2 or 3 levels below us. She immeditately got angry and said I owe her a new pair. I refuted that. My friends watching on. I feel humiliated.

We finish lunch and briefly attempt to find them but can't.

My sister again says I owe her glasses.

Who is responsible for getting her new glasses?

I likely will anyway but am just curious so going forward I know.

I would say it’s on you to keep it from happening, but you warned her and she ignored you so it’s on her. Yes you can offer to get her glasses, but it’s not your fault and your child is just testing cause and effect. It’s not the child’s fault

He is a baby! You gave her a warning (more than i would have done unless i saw my baby doing it constantly BUT I would say that it is on her since she acted so childish about it, honestly i would not have ever expected my girls to do that when they were 2 and 1/2 BUT I have honestly seen my kids do things I wouldn’t have EVER expected!!! So the fact you saw that the glasses were going to be an issue and she ignored you makes it so she should be the one getting herself a new pair….

Leaving

I'm leaving my husband. I can't do it anymore. I've decided that I'd rather be a single mother than a married single mother. The terrible part is that due to his anger issues, I have to do it secretly. Any tips on escaping an abusive partner?

I'm already looking for a new place in a different part of the state where I have more support of extended family and friends.

I had to breakdown and tell my mom everything and she and my family feel it is best that I go to the other city because I don't have anyone here except him. He has been verbally and physically (throwing objects and shoving) abusive so I have to basically plan and escape because telling him straight up might result in a situation that would land him straight in jail. I really don't want to do that to him.

I do love him but as a mother of a little girl I have to show her better than what I'm currently experiencing.

Struggling with Pornography

Hey everyone. I've honestly been avoiding this, but I am exhausted, and I just want to be better.

I found it when I was 12. Got traumatized. Then I avoided it. After I left the church I was in and got with my now partner I got into it again. I really like sex and just got into it. My partner watches as well.

After having children I don't really watch, mainly because I don't have time. But I got into the Ai chats and pretty much been getting addicted to it, especially since I'm having a hard time. My partner and I barely get time to ourselves and I get lonely in the day while he's at work.

I don't masturbate to it but I just stay glued to my phone, and it's easier to hide. I just feel like a loser. I feel like it's ruining my expectations of sex, taking time away from my partner, and just my life. But every time I try to stop I end up downloading all the apps again after a difficult or stressful moment.

I don't know how to get over this. Especially since my partner still watches and I don't feel like it's my place to tell him to stop as well. Plus I'm a kinky person and like finding new ideas and I just feel like in this loop of spiked excitement then guilt.

Any advice?

Also just to clarify my partner did not suggest or groom me into watching porn again. I did that on my own.

Blueberry Baby 🫐

My baby is almost 9M and absolutely loves blueberries. Not strawberries, not raspberries; just blueberries!

Food he hates are: lentils, eggs and sardines. Now I just hid it under blueberries. Is it weird to eat sardines and blueberries- of course! But does he eat it- hell yeah.

At this point I could hide a mountain under blueberries 🫐 😂 and he would gulp it all.

Do your kids have a particular food obsession?

(Picture from last year, when I was plucking blueberries)

Desperate

At this point I just feel desperate for my marriage to go back to not feeling like a war zone. Not even “normal”, just calm for longer than 12 hours. He doesn’t feel appreciated nor empathized with, I don’t feel heard or supported. He uses sex to feel confident in our relationship and I need to feel confident in our relationship to have sex.

It feels like we’re operating on different planets. I miss my marriage and husband. We see a couples counselor as well as our own therapists.

I’m still struggling to let go of resentment from the past. I’m also struggling with how he needs to learn everything “the hard way” despite debatably over communicating with him on my needs.

I definitely spent a lot of time relying on him too much but his avoidance in communication is breaking me. It’s a lot, too much. I’m tired and sad all the time.

I don’t even know if I need advice just not to feel so alone all the time.

Advice for tv addict- feel so embarrassed

We were quite strict on no screen time til she was closer to 2, maybe some mr tumble now and again. She goes to my parents one day a week and my in laws one day so very lucky. But being in their 60s they understandably need a break and she watches tv there. I didnt mind maybe 20 mins per day, I would let her watch after daycare here to unwind and honestly it helped me a lot with my pregnancy. But now she is asking to watch tv all day every day, its the first thing she says when we get downstairs and I want to cry tbh! Today we did a no tv day at all and it was ROUGH! You would think she usually watches it for hours by how many times she cried over me saying no. We go out in nature every day and do crafts etc but I just cant stand the whining ‘watch tv now’ from dawn til dusk!!! But now she will be at my in laws tomorrow. I dont know what to do xx
