Just had my 34 week midwife appointment (been referred for an urgent scan as baby is measuring a little too big) but, my midwife has suggested advocating for a induction from 37 weeks due to my severe back pain. I have scoliosis and struggling to leave the house without being in excruciating pain. I’m not completely against the idea but want to hear opinions of others on induction! Please nothing too scary :( x

Hey I had an induction with my 1st at 39 weeks, the induction wasn't that bad just expect to be in for a few days and it to be slow and boring to start with, and walk walk walk. We just had problems with a couple of midwives and a mistake with how dialated I was that made our experience worse. One thing I was told to ask for is your bishops score, inductions are more successful if your score is 8 or higher.

I had a great induction experience for my first at 42 weeks (she was soooo comfy) and I had gel, pethadine, oxytocin and gas and air in delivery
