1day post emergency section

I was induced with my second child and was in the hospital for 5 days before they broke my water, after labouring for 10 hours I ended up having an emergency c section. 24 hours later I’m home and very sore. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for healing and recovery please? Feel like everything the midwives said went straight out of my head as I had been awake nearly 36 hours when I finally was taken to theatre

Take your drugs spread out and through the night. I alternated paracetamol and ibuprofen to the maximum doses and I really noticed if I didn’t take bang on time.

Move as much as you’re able I felt like the more I sat still the worse it hurt. Once I got up and moving I felt so much better x

Check out c-section uk on instagram they have loads of resources. Definitely move frequently. Take the stool softeners. Like above take the painkillers alternated so that you always have some kind of pain relief. Listen to your body. Drink plenty of fluids and eat fibre rich foods.

Rolling?

I know this has been asked before but I wanted to canvas you all for an update on our babies and rolling now we’re 6 months in. My boy can roll front to back but has no interest in rolling back to front… don’t know if I should be concerned.

Baby Boy is 2 months!

Oml! It’s already been 2 months since this angel was brought into my life! I love seeing his beautiful smile 🥰 He’s getting so big so fast. He’s finally gaining weight and not having too much reflux! I felt so bad when he had to get his shots yesterday! 🥺 Happy 2 months to my little hungry caterpillar! Mommy loves you so much 💙🥳🎉🥹

Unsuccessful sweep now mucus plug?

Hey I’m 39+2 today and yesterday I went to my midwife to have a sweep preformed to try start me before I go over 40+ weeks (due to stillbirtjh in family after that time) she explained that my cervix was open at the front but closed at the back so she “agitated” it a bit to try get things moving. I have a few cramps since then and have been on my feet walking a lot like she suggested. This morning I woke up and I had my plug (my show) come away so does that mean my cervix could finally be open and labour is near? Thanks in advance ☺️

Kids birthday parties

Do you think a 3pm–5pm party is too late for a 6th birthday on a non-school night?

Freaking out!!!

My baby’s head is messuring on the 97th centile and I have just read that it could be Macrocephaly 😰 or linked to later autism… And I wonder if I am even able to give birth to such size of head. I don’t know why my midwife has not Said anything about it.
