Kids birthday parties

Do you think a 3pm–5pm party is too late for a 6th birthday on a non-school night?

If you are providing some food then I wouldn’t say that time is an issue

No, we’ve attended a couple that have been 4-6pm which meant they had had party food there so didn’t have to worry about dinner x

My 5 year old has a party from 3-5pm on a Sunday in a few weeks and for us it isn't too late as she doesn't go to bed until 7.30-8.
She was invited to a party earlier in the year which was from 7-9pm which was bonkers to me and far too late for us 🫣 xx

For me personally, it's a bit late (but I also have a 2.5 year old and a 8 month old). But we'd make it work. I think the only thing was I think some kind of dinner for the kids should be provided.

No not at all! Dinner is then sorted too as I see you commented saying you are providing party food for the children!

Avatar

No. It might be slightly annoying as the child will be clock counting the whole day!

As long as they'll be fed then it's fine. I tend to prefer earlier parties as the kids are always asking "when is the partyyyyyy?" but that's annoying for me not them.

Not at all! No early wake ups and late enough not to clash with all the other weekend activities and clubs

my little man is 2 months!!

my baby boy has hit 2 months and it makes me soo emotional just thinking about how fast the time is passing by. he’s such a happy, smiley boy… and while his reflux and weight gain issues have been a struggle, he’s still growing big and strong, even if it’s at a slower pace. mommy loves you, callan! one day, you’ll move mountains. i just know it. 🩵

Coffee while pregnant

I’m about 12 weeks pregnant rn. I’ve had some pretty bad nausea and fatigue since about 4-5 weeks along. I’ve noticed there are a number of days where coffee actually helps my nausea. I know we are supposed to limit how much caffeine we have daily and I stick to those limits but I was curious if anyone else noticed coffee helped their nausea too? Or possibly knew why?

Reassurance Please 😣

I am booked in for an elective c section on Friday this week. This is my first baby and I chose it due to anxiety reasons related to vaginal birth. As it is coming closer to the time I am finding it really hard to sleep, I am half excited and half terrified! Although I know this was the better choice for me in the long run, I cant help myself but worry still.

Just hoping for some last min reassurance that I am going to be okay - please share your stories.

Small baby

I had my 31 week scan today and was told that my baby is on a small side. I didn't worry about that at all tbh as my husband was born small too so maybe runs in a family. I also had all tests for any genetical issues but all were negative.
Maternity Unit was really good they checked baby's heartbeat and set another scan in two weeks time.
I felt reassured, but now I started doing some research and reading (I know, not the most clever thing to do) and I'm now worried.
Should I worry? Or is it still early?
He has been moving a lot today and oh I get the most awful Braxton Hicks fairly few times a day .. ...

SGA advice please

Hi all.
Last week at my 31 week midwife appointment, we found that baby was measuring lower than average so was sent for a scan yesterday. They have now found that baby is measuring on the 4th percentile and so I will need to go for weekly scans to monitor baby.
Up until now we have been really lucky to have had a smooth pregnancy without any complications and so I know it's common for this to happen, I am still feeling scared and upset as a first time mum.
Just reaching out to see if anyone else is going through the same. ❤️

HELP! C-section and postpartum preeclampsia

Hello ladies! I will be 10 months post partum June 5th.
I had an emergency c section due to the baby being stressed. (I had Covid and was extremely dehydrated.
I just found out I’m pregnant again. Has anyone had or is going through a similar experience? I’m very scared to develop preeclampsia or postpartum preeclampsia again, I’m hoping I can do VBAC but idk how likely that will be since I am less than a year postpartum. I will be going to my first appointment this week but I would like to hear other’s experience with this.
