Hi all.
Last week at my 31 week midwife appointment, we found that baby was measuring lower than average so was sent for a scan yesterday. They have now found that baby is measuring on the 4th percentile and so I will need to go for weekly scans to monitor baby.
Up until now we have been really lucky to have had a smooth pregnancy without any complications and so I know it's common for this to happen, I am still feeling scared and upset as a first time mum.
Just reaching out to see if anyone else is going through the same. ❤️

at my 32 week scan my baby was in the 28th percentile when she was born she weighed 3.6kg and was actually above 50th percentile, these things aren't always accurate, i got so many tiny baby clothes and it didnt fit my baby at all

My babies will always measure smaller than average- I’m Asian, and petite to boot, me myself I’m probably 20-30th percentile on the women’s chart (if they had one 😂) so I don’t expect my babies to be big, or even average, always smaller. My first was born 5’4lbs, second 7”7 and third 7”8 and already I felt HUGE on my small frame. They’ve never flagged it or said it was “too small” (like yes it was small but one look at me and they’re like, oh mamas small too so that’s why) Some of us just have smaller babies and that’s okay. I’ve never been induced either.

That's exactly what happened to me yesterday!
My baby was kicking like crazy and he still is as of to say 'Dobt worry mummy, I'm fine'. Other mummies reassured me that sometimes babies can be on a smaller side and that's just how they are. What counts is that they want to monitor you and the baby to make sure all is well ❤️🩹 so try not to worry. My second pregnancy I was told my baby will be large but she was only 2650 ( no idea how much this is in pounds)
