Anyone had their fundal height measurement jump crazy? I went from 50th centile to over 100th centile in 3 weeks 🥲
I had a private scan almost two weeks ago where she measured 50th centile still then they’ve booked me in for a growth scan tomorrow.
Just wondered if anyone had experienced something similar and what the cause was? I’m anxiously waiting for tomorrow!

Have you had different midwives measure you? Mine jumped down by 25% but my midwife last week said that there can be a lot of variance in the way midwives measure..

Had two measurements where he was on the 50th then my third measurement he jumped to over the 99th. Went for a growth scan and he was actually only measuring in around the 60th but his belly was on the larger side so they sent me for a gestational diabetes test today so having to wait for those results. 38 weeks so not sure what the plan is if it is positive though. They didn't seem concerned at all though.
Fundal height is so outdated in my opinion. My fundal height was always on the smaller side with my first, had so many growth scans! But he ended up being 7lb 11.

Not a problem 😊 pretty much everyone I know who has had babies had experienced the same thing with fundal height, it's so common ❤️

I’m in exactly the same position, getting a growth scan on Tuesday. It was a different midwife that measured me so I suspect it is just variations in technique. Even a cm makes such a big difference! I had the same situation with my first where measurements were taken by different people and all was fine. She came out just under 7lb. Nice to get a scan though for some reassurance!
