Naughtiness

Hello ladies,

Is anyone else’s LO’s being really naughty? If so how do you deal with it? I know they can’t be perfect all the time but our LO is really testing our patience lately. She is throwing food at meal times and constantly not listening to anything we say. When we tell her off she just thinks that it’s funny. It’s gotten so bad tonight that my partner ended up throwing her dinner in the bin because she was being so bad, and he took her up to bed. She has literally screamed the house down, our poor neighbours 😳😢 we also have a 6 month old so it just feels really hard at the moment. We have always counted down from 3 or used a calm down space for her when she’s been naughty but it feels like that doesn’t work anymore. I’ve started taking away things and given them back when she’s calm or started to listen. My partner is a lot harder than I am so we also disagree on some methods. I try to be more calm and he shouts and gets frustrated quickly 😩 any advice would be appreciated- thank you 🙏

Im in the same boat. Following! x

The only thing that works for us slightly is ignoring her tantrums and not give in. But when its been a long day, my partner tells her off sternly and she tends to listen to him better

Absolutely in the same boat, but only for us, good as gold at nursery & when he’s at grans etc.

It’s so difficult because sometimes when we tell him off he smirks & laughs which then just makes me so frustrated with him,

Sometimes quiet time in his room works other times he comes back down & it’s like he’s forgotten why he was up there & comes down & behaving exactly the same way again

I loveeee seeing other peoples nurseries!! 🥰

Mine isn’t finished yet, still got things to put on the walls, name signs, pictures etc.

Is anyone else almost done with theirs?

Going from 2-3, Help! 😩

My 2 step-daughters live with us full time, and have done for nearly 5 years. We now have our 4week old baby boy and I'm really struggling with how a routine will ever come into place.

I had a C-section so have not been doing many of the school runs as I'm unable to drive. My mum has been living with us during the week to help as my partner had to go back to work 4 days after bringing baby home.

We are getting closer to the time my mum won't be here to help and I'll be doing all of the school runs (and all other things that come with being a mum and running a house) and I do not know how I'm going to get out the door at 8am - let alone keep everyone organised and settled.

Parenting isn't new to me but being a mummy to a new born baby is so I feel a little lost.

Any advice welcome!

Day festival with 6 month old

Me and my partner are taking my 6 month old to a local day festival... Initially planned to come home early evening but now wondering whether to stick out till after the main headline act so my partner can see. Is this a stupid idea with a young baby? My frienfs are camping near to main area and so can take baby back there for naps plus most of the day will be spent in kids field. Thoughts / advice welcome. I would then drive home late evening.

Unreasonable to be annoyed at this??

So me and my boyfriend have been together 6 months and is it a bit shitty that we have only been for dinner once? And not really been anywhere on a day out. Alls he does is work, a lot. Which I like in a man but he works 60 hours a week and always says he has no money. But I just would love to get dressed up a night and I love going for dinner/going on adventures etc but he just works and sleeps 🙈 I don’t even ever think we’ve went for lunch. I have a 6 year old daughter and only get 2 nights a week free so would be nice to actually go somewhere or do somethin. It’s always me askin go do stuff and he’s just like “yeah come round to mine” and we just sit and watch tv 🙈
