Why do I keep getting faint tests that aren’t getting darker ? Could it be ectopic ?

Faint lines that aren’t progressing can happen for quite a few reasons and don’t automatically mean ectopic. Sometimes it’s just very early, late ovulation, diluted urine or unfortunately a chemical. I’d try testing every 48 hours with the same brand and first morning urine if you can. But if you get one-sided pain, bleeding, shoulder pain or dizziness definitely get checked ASAP x
