I had emergency c-section 7 months ago. I’m currently on bc I want to try for another baby. Has anyone tried for another baby before the 12-18 month mark? I’m if so how did that go

Honestly I have no advice but I am 5 months postpartum and late on my period so I would also like to know

i think a lot of it depends on your body and healing. i’ve seen women on here who have been told by their doctor that their uterine wall is very wall or that they shouldn’t have another child as it would be dangerous for them. i’ve also seen the opposite, so it’s all dependant

I have no advice but I have heard people do get pregnant again before their baby under age 1

So I'm 37 FTM and had a breech baby and scheduled c-section 3 months ago. My Dr said the births need to be at least a year apart, and I should be fine. Better sooner than later with my age. I had a completely uncomplicated pregnancy though so if you had any issues it may be different.

Since you had an emergency c section, I would wait at least a year. Just to be safe. The doctor would usually hit you with the 18 months or 2 years max between kids but, that depends on your body and your medical history. You don't want to risk having any complications or infections while, pregnant so please be careful and aware of that.

Help! Any doctors or nurses here? Retained placenta

I can't get through to 111 and it's bank holiday weekend so won't be able to contact my GP til tuesday.

Long story short, I'm 5 week pp and last Monday I had a huge sudden bleed and lost what I thought was a very big clot but my GP said was retained placenta. He put me on antibiotics and referred me for a scan which isn't until next week. I've just finished the course of antibiotics tonight but the last 3 days I have felt horrendous. My muscles are aching like I have the flu, it's got progressively worse and tonight I am just in so much pain, my whole body feels like it's burning. Is it possible I have an infection even after taking the course of antibiotics? Or is it more likely to be aches from breastfeeding and carrying the baby? I was a bit achey before but this feels different. I haven't got any other cold or flu symptoms. Just these muscle pains and at the end of the day, chills.

Names from other countries… 🌍

What are people’s thoughts on using names from other countries/cultures when you don’t personally have ties to them?

I’ve fallen INLOVE with the name Rocco for our little boy, but we have absolutely no connection to Italy, where the name originates. My boyfriend’s dark features make him look Italian, but we very much aren’t. We are British. 🤣
I’m currently telling myself that if there are millions of little Luca’s around at the moment, why not Rocco? 😅
