My partner sleeps in till 11am. We have a toddler together and he has a kid with someone else. When his kid is here he still sleeps in and makes me do all the work and it upsets me. I’m also sick and he doesn’t care.

Am I being unreasonable for being this upset?

Why do you put up with it?

I would be getting both the toddler AND his other child with instructions to jump on daddy until he wakes up.

Wake him up!?

OP in all seriousness, stick up for yourself. Put your foot down. Tell him this is bullshit and let him get mad. He’s a third child for you at this point.

Throw a bucket of water on him and tell him to grow the fuck up

Book a massage for 10am and tell him the previous night you have a massage on the next morning and that you WILL wake him up so you can duck out for a few. Hubby here lets ME sleep in. You need to put your foot down and at least take turns so you can sleep in one morning.

I would be opening his door and sending the kids in or giving them pots and pans to hang around his door and play Frozen songs as loud as possible. Ha!

I voted wrong but I’m 100% on the “react harder” train. Wake him up girl! And if he gives you problems then get rid of him.

Help! What do I do in this heat!

Our bedroom is reading at 26.7 degrees and worried about baby sleeping in the room. We have the curtains and windows closed during the day and a fan and air con unit running but it’s still way too hot. Really worried about SIDS. Any advice?

Nursery not offering breast milk

My little girl is 9 months and still breastfed. She started at nursery last week and I sent expressed milk in bags as previously discussed with the nursery and they said it would be fine. She picked up a cold at her settling in sessions the week before so was under the weather all week. The first couple of days they tried to give her milk but she only took a tiny amount. On Thursday she was dropped off at 7.30am and picked up around 3.15pm and nursery don’t seem to have even offered any milk in that time as the bags were untouched. She was very hungry when she got home and had several oz from a bottle (from her dad who picked her up). Is this normal/ok?! She definitely would have had multiple feeds in that time if I’d been with her, but I’m worried they didn’t even try to feed her!

Prep machines?

I’m currently switching over from breastfeeding to formula and I’m debating getting a prep machine.

I’m using Kendamil which is measured in ml, and the prep machines water is in oz which is slightly different to ml. Has anyone had any issues with this or does it not affect the baby?

Own room at 5 months

Baby is now 5 months and sleeps in her next to me. My bedroom is in the loft and it’s currently 30 degrees in there and very hard to cool down and I don’t have a big fan. Could I put her in her own room in her cot for the night with the monitor? There’s no room for me to sleep in there too

OMG THIS HEAT !!!

It’s my baby first heat wave (born early September) and omg! Up until yesterday morning she used to sleep through or lightly wake around 5am then go back to sleep until 6/6:15. Last night was the worse night we have ever had. Kept fussing ALL NIGHT, woke up at 1am and didn’t go back to sleep until 4am. Never had this! Today she had 2 crappy naps (40 minutes each when normally she has 1st nap almost 2 hours and second nap 45 minutes 🫠).
Please for the love of god. Do these babies eventually get used to this heat somehow?!?! I cannot do this for a week!!!! Even worse, I’m going back home in Italy for 7 weeks this summer and the weather will be averaging 35 degrees a day!!!! Help 🥲🥲🥲🥲

4 month old only have 3 bottles a day

Hi, my 4 month old is only averaging 3 bottles a day of 210mls a day. So only have 630mls in 24 hours. He sleeps all the way through the night, normally going to bed around 8.30ish and waking between 9/10am. I’m a little worried as it’s on the low end of the milk he’s supposed to be having. He was having good weight gain last time I checked (we have HV booked in for next week) any tips at how to get another bottle in him during his waking hours?
