MIL

My mother in law is getting upset that baby girl, who is almost 3 months, doesn’t look at her when she calls her name. She proceeded to yanked at the binky which causes baby to shake lightly and cry.
Mind you baby was half asleep as we had a long car ride over a hour.
I told her to try not to do that and she was upset as she just wants the baby to know she’s there.

Respectfully your MIL will be ok. Continue to be mama bear. Nobodyyyyyy loves your child more than you.

She sounds like she needs to get over herself. Babies don't respond to their name at 3 months. That is a 5 or 6 month milestone although some babies can do it earlier. If necessary set boundaries because that sounds crazy to me. I understand her wanting the baby to know she is there but, that was unnecessary.

That was very rude of her. I'd have a talk with her

Sleeping in heatwave

When is everyone putting their babies to bed. I only ask because our bedroom egg thermometer is currently saying 30.3 degrees which is obviously far too hot for bub. We are camped out in the lounge with all the doors/windows open with fans on. I am also finding it difficult to get her to sleep because she is so used to being swaddled. Any tips or ideas?

Safe sleep

My baby’s room is currently 31 degrees I’ve had the blinds and curtains and window shut all day and only just opened the window to get some air in I have now put a fan in that blowing around the room it points onto her for a few seconds and blows straight back off on a low setting is this safe? Panicking 😩🤣

Gro Egg reliability???

It’s showing as 25 degrees in our bedroom again tonight, but our 5 week old won’t sleep in just a nappy so we put him in a vest and he was still upset so we added a sleep suit and he managed to sleep. But based on all the advice we’ve seen online this is the wrong amount of layers for the room temp. Beginning to think the gro egg isn’t accurate as we have been sleeping comfortably in thin pjs and a duvet with a fan by the bedroom door and window open (fan not near baby and doesn’t blow on him). I’m so stressed about it, is anyone else feeling the same?!

Would you have an issue with this or not?

Purchasing shoes off Vinted marked as NEW without tags. Specifically purchased because of the “NEW”.
Item arrives, rubber white soles are clearly dirty and show signs of wear (one can only assume this as the dirt is on the EXACT same spots on both soles, brownish orange colour). The inside of shoe and top of shoe are in good condition and look clean. Smells fine. Would you have an issue with this?

Please don’t comment on simply not having issue with buying or using used items as that is not the point of this.

Bedroom 29 degrees

Our 5 month old and 2 1/2 year olds rooms are sitting at 29 degrees…
I’ve tried everything to cool down.
I’ve taken toddlers duvet away and baby will be in just a nappy tonight. Is that okay? I’m panicking about how hot our rooms are

Heat

My little girls room is 28 degrees and its not dropping no matter what I've tried today! Ive been trying to get her to sleep for the past hour and she is sweating.
Ive tried cooling her down with cool water on her hands feet and back of the neck, and shes only in a nappy no sleep bag.
Feel like its going to be a long night🥵
