My little girls room is 28 degrees and its not dropping no matter what I've tried today! Ive been trying to get her to sleep for the past hour and she is sweating.
Ive tried cooling her down with cool water on her hands feet and back of the neck, and shes only in a nappy no sleep bag.
Feel like its going to be a long night🥵

my boy is struggling too, has only had a 30 minute nap all day cause of the heat, just can’t cool this damn house down

Could’ve written this myself ! We usually get my little boy to sleep on our chest & transfer him to cot. He won’t even shut his eyes to go to sleep he’s so hot. Just crying and throwing tantrums. Fan on, blinds been shut all day, cool bath before bed & it’s still 28 degrees in there! X

Yep, my LO isn't going to sleep anytime soon.. he keeps yawning but no luck .. it's just too hot! I can't say I blame him.. I wouldn't Wana try and sleep in this.. but he's guna be cranky and TIRED!

We've put the travel cot in the lounge but we've got black out curtains in there. Still hot but not as hot as the nursery! I'll be sleeping on the sofa 🥵 also have a contact napper and have been using the feeding pillow so she's sort of wrapped around me and can put a hand on me without too much contact to avoid overheating. Looks ridiculous as she's a big baby 😂

Ours is 28.8 he’s currently asleep but woke up a couple of times already so we’ll see how long it lasts. Our 3 year old is absolutely refusing point blank to sleep and is still sat downstairs with us. Wouldn’t mind but I’d like to go to bed soon too, I’m exhausted 😂

Safe sleep

My baby’s room is currently 31 degrees I’ve had the blinds and curtains and window shut all day and only just opened the window to get some air in I have now put a fan in that blowing around the room it points onto her for a few seconds and blows straight back off on a low setting is this safe? Panicking 😩🤣

Sleeping in heatwave

When is everyone putting their babies to bed. I only ask because our bedroom egg thermometer is currently saying 30.3 degrees which is obviously far too hot for bub. We are camped out in the lounge with all the doors/windows open with fans on. I am also finding it difficult to get her to sleep because she is so used to being swaddled. Any tips or ideas?

Baby and breastfeeding

I have a 3 week old and I am exclusively breastfeeding, I’ve found in the past week or so, he latches on very well to one breast and drinks with no problem but the other breast, he will latch bit detach himself after a bit and I’m having to latch him on several times. When he does detach milk usually sprays everywhere which makes me think it’s the flow that’s quite strong, but has anyone else had this problem before and can offer some advice? Thank you!

Is so selfish to continue to have kids when you’re barely scraping by financially and mentally

My friend, just announced her pregnancy and she just had her third baby 8 months ago?! And she already has a one and two year old. She constantly vents about how things are so tight financially but “makes things work”. These kids end up suffering 😢I’m usually such a supportive friend, but this…. I can’t support. It’s low key making me not want to be friends with her. Coming from someone who is two and done, I recognized my limit and drew a line and overall I’m just tired of hearing her rant about how things are so tight financially and always venting about her marital problems and then continues to add to her stress. Reality has to set in some time!? Should I cut her off?

Heat and sleep

How are we settling our babies in this weather? My little one is 2 weeks and he will not sleep unless on me but that is making him hotter. As soon as he goes in the moses basket he's screaming and crying again 😭
