The pill and periods

Hi, I wondered if there’s anybody here who has experienced something similar or could tell me if this is normal?

So I came off my pill a month ago to begin trying for a second baby. Obviously I’ve come off of my pill a few times in the past, one of these times being to try for first baby, but have never experienced what I have right now.

This month’s period, first one since stopping pill, has come almost when I would have expected it but it’s basically a bit of spotting, not enough to fill even a pad, let alone a tampon, I’ve just been using panty liners. It’s also only lasted 2-3 days max.

It’s definitely not normal for me, as previously I’ve had a generally medium/heavy period straight away as I usually would with or without the pill.

I understand it can take a few months to get your cycles back in check after stopping the pill, but as I said I’ve never experienced this next-to-nothing spotting before.

Is there any chance you are already pregnant. Sounds like implantation bleeding to me?

Why do you doubt it? Ovulation happens before a period and the pill can make the dates a bit messed up.

Unless taking ovulation tests I suppose you don't know 100%

How far out side of the window? Before or after?

I got pregnant the first month trying after coming off the pill both times. The first baby I never got my period back between stopping the pill and a positive test. It’s very possible you are already pregnant, not everyone who uses the pill takes months to regulate their cycle and fall pregnant

Sperm lives inside for up to 5 days so the 4 days before could have absolutely got you pregnant

Agree with Natalie ☝🏼 sounds like implantation bleeding.
Exact same thing happened to me, I came off the pill, had very mild spotting around when the period would be and then nothing… because I was pregnant.

Take a test, you never know 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same as . Got pregnant right away after stopping so I didn’t get a period, just a tad bit of spotting.

For anyone deeply invested in this, I took a test and it’s negative 🥵

When was the spotting cos they recommend waiting 3-5 after before you test.

So if it lasted 2-3 days I'm guessing it's just finished. I'd retest at the weekend/early next week

Partner and sex

Im not happy with my partner at the moment. Im not quite sure what I am supposed to do about this. On Sunday night he wanted to have sex but I was absolutely exhausted, definitely not in the mood and just wanted to sleep. He kept pushing it and pushing it. He took my clothes off, tried to put it in me and kept touching me after I kept telling him no Im tired and not in the mood and he carried on. I then shouted at him and he stopped. I have had a few times in my life where strangers have took what they want from me so it was triggering to me and he knows this. Im so upset with him I haven’t been able to look at him the same. It’s a completely different story when he isn’t in the mood or tired though. He just expects me to do it regardless but when I want sex and he says he is tired or not in the mood I just leave it and go to sleep. He is never in the mood when I want sex but he seems to think that when he is in the mood he can just have it.

Companies with good maternity leave

I am currently on maternity and have only received SMP, we were able to save to make sure bills are covered but think if we were to have another this would be really tough.

I feel if its not advertised as a benefit asking about mat pay wouldn’t be ideal in an interview.

What companies pay above smp? Personally looking for those in northwest.

Do you include a wishlist on birthday invites?

I have a 5 year old who is having a birthday and she wants to invite her friends at school. So her and l set up a Amazon registry/wishlist and put a QR code on the invite for it. Today she got a invite to a party and the parents are like NO gifts please he only needs his friends. And now I'm like crap. Should l have put a wishlist. Like its there for if you want to not you have to bring something. When you send out classroom birthday party invites do you put a wishlist?

Father's day gifts

So ive just had a discussion with my partner about father's day gifts which had kind of ended negatively.

Our baby is only 3 months old so obviously too young to make/choose their own stuff to give him for father's day. I had some ideas of what to get him in behalf of our child but ive now been made to feel like its not good enough.

He basically sent me a link to some headphones he wants and said "ive sent u an idea of what to get me for father's day" . Now me typically Id get someone something like that for birthday or Christmas not father's/mothers day, for those occasions I would get something related to that event like a personalised keyring/cup/wallet/phone case etc that would have pictured of their child/ren. When I mentioned i was thinking cute personalised father's day things he didnt seem to thrilled and was like "what do i need a reminder that im a father with cute things when. I have our kid there thata a reminder everyday u know what dont get me anything"..... so now I feel like shit because it feels like my ideas wasnt good enough which has now made him not want anything. Am I in the wrong? Do I get him nothing? Do I get him what he wants or my original idea or do please both ideas do i get both?

Intimacy issues

My husband and I didn’t have sex from the last time i got pregnant is been 2 years and very stressful time.Basically since then we didn’t have sex.Something is going on he hasn’t been cheating ,still loving husband ,cuddles ,kissing he still very nice with me but our intimacy has changed and im getting very worried .I got very insecure to speak or have a conversation with him about this.
I really need helpppp how to deal with this what to do?
