Cot bumpers/rolling in cot

Hey all,

My six month old daughter can roll from back to front, but she cannot yet roll front to back. She is currently rolling in her cot and not able to roll back onto her back.

She is in her own room now, and I’m getting worried that I won’t hear her in the middle of the night if she’s on her front.

I was wondering if there is anything out there that can help prevent her rolling in the cot.

I also need recommendations for cot bumpers due to her getting her legs stuck through the panels on the cot when rolling (picture of cot below).

Thank you x

If she’s able to roll to her front the general guidance is that it’s safe for her to stay that way. If she calls out in the night I’m sure you’d hear her on the monitor.

With regards to cot bumpers, they are an entrapment and entanglement risk whether they are bumpers or the mesh liners babies have died through the use of them causing them to be not recommended. Best thing you can do is either let her get used to the space she’s in or maybe consider baby proofing the room and getting a floor bed so no slats x

Does this nappy look to big?

He’s just in the size bracket for the pampers and I haven’t really used them before and bit of poop came out of the top of the back.

Is the flooring stopping my baby’s progress?

My baby is struggling to pivot and crawl, I’m starting to think that maybe it is because he’s on carpet as he’s pivoting in his sleep all the time.
Has anyone else felt this way?

Would you recommend a play mat if so which one?

Safe sleeping for newborns

I’ve done so much research around safe sleeping in newborns but just don’t know what to do? Whats everyone’s preferences with sleeping? Cellular blankets? Swaddles? Sleep sacks?

I think I’m really over thinking it and worrying about the weather

UNPOPULAR OPINION

I know they tell you not to let baby sleep on their stomach but it’s honestly the only position baby girl prefers to sleep in. When she’s on her back she’s restless and doesn’t sleep very well at all. Please tell me I’m not the only one🫣

I can’t believe she’s almost 4 months!

The feeling of doom, the sundown scaries, the anxiety, the ‘what have I done’ feeling… is all slowly coming to an end. It was rough the first few weeks. But I guess people were right when they said ‘everything’ will be ok with time. It’s not 100% easier, just more tolerable as baby is learning to communicate in ways she knows how without crying constantly. I’m slowly learning her cues and she’s showing more of a personality which is making this a bit more pleasant.
I can’t believe I’ve come this far with her. And how healthy and happy she looks.

Sorry guys, it’s just been a very LONG few months with a baby that had bad reflux.

First Haircut

When did you give your son his first haircut? I haven’t cut my son’s hair yet, as I personally don’t want to do it yet, but others keep saying I need to cut this hair because he is a boy.
