When to have sex after c section postpartum

I think you only have to wait 6 weeks. Im in the 6 week waiting period now.

It wasn’t painful for me, but everyone is different of course! Have you seen your doctor for your follow up?

I waited 5 weeks lol I really wanted it and felt good enough. My OB didn’t say anything about it at my 6 week checkup 🤷🏼‍♀️

The risks are if you don't wait for your OB checkup (6-8 weeks), you can get infections like sepsis and urinary or you can get pregnant early so, make sure your on some form of bc because getting pregnant before a year brings complications.

I'm 6 weeks post c section, scar is healed but is infected. I asked the doctor and they have said it's fine to have sex. But I'm waiting for my next checkup :)

6 weeks, cause generally that’s when you should be having a follow up appt where they check the incision and everything else and give you the ok. Rule of the thumb is when your OB says all is good, but generally, that’s 6 weeks afterwards.
