NAPPY/DIAPER PREFERENCE

So I’ve been trying out different nappies to find the best for baby girl. With my eldest daughter I used pampers and they were rubbish so I didn’t bother with them and switched to Aldi nappies and only used Aldi nappies with my son. Huggies are a no go for me.

So far number 3 (rascals) have been working the best for baby girl with number 4 in close second.

Which nappies if any of these have you found the best for your LOs?

1. Tesco (Fred and Flo)
2. Asda (Little Angels)
3. Most supermarkets (Rascals)
4. Aldi (Mamia)

If you have any other suggestions for other brands please feel free to drop a comment 🩷

So far I’ve used Tesco, Aldi, rascals and pampers (just from what people had brought/given me) and they’ve all been fine so far x

Not the cheap option but we have Peachies and they are SO good, no nappy rash and the only blow out we’ve had is because I didn’t put the nappy on tight enough one time by accident!

We've been using Aldi or Boots. I used Aldi's all the way through with my 2 yr old until their nappy pants which I didn't find as absorbent in the nighttime so made the switch to Pampers which he is still in.

I did previously try Morrisons and Asda nappies with my first but we found them to always leak on the sides

Love this 🥰 i've got about 4 different brands to try also - but go to was previously aldi also.. I'll have to wait and see this time round 💗

Asdas little angels, I use them for all 3 of mine, although right now were using pampers for baby as little angels no longer do the size 0

Amazon's ultra dry ones are working the best for us! 🦒

We love the Naty brand! They’re made from bamboo so they’re really soft! We’ve had no issues with leakages or blowouts!

We used Aldi until size 2 then went onto Tesco, no issue with either x

Aldi and Pampers have been my favourite so far! We really don’t like the Fred and Flo ones xxx

We are using Sainsbury’s and have had no issues so far ☺️ x

Thank you ladies there’s so many different brands I’ve never even heard of so I’m looking forward to trying out the suggested ones and then come back with a review later down the line at some point ☺️. Also while I’m here what’s the best pull ups for night time? We’re currently using the Aldi ones for our 3 year old (he wears briefs during the day so only needs pull ups for bed) and I find they don’t cover his bum very well and constantly leaks through. So any suggestions for bedtime pull ups?

Tesco and Sainsbury’s nappies have been the go-to for both my children although they are a little on the thin side. I’ve used Pura (love but expensive), pampers (grown on me), Lidl (in an absolute emergency), Morrisons (no thanks), Asda (Acceptable)

Avatar

Rascals are absolutely amazing! Thick and breathable, no leaks for 12 hours straight (night sleep)! 🩷

Morrisons ones are good, x

I used the Lidl ones mostly when mine was older,(5 months ish) but when she was a tiny baby we used Pampers.

Shein clothes

Im starting to look at getting some clothes. My partner doesn't like the idea of clothes from Shien because of the possible chemicals. Has anyone ever had any issues with baby clothes from them?

Toddler discipline...is it only spanking that works!?

My son is 2 in August and of course being very difficult now. I follow parenting clips online with Deborah tilman and she is great. No kid beating involved. But the comments are then full of people saying the kid needs spanking...
I have to admit gentle parenting won't really work on my son he doesn't want negotiations and explanations, he needs natural consequences as he just doesn't listen or understand. But I don't want to hit him...
For example bath time has become a fight so last night I just dumped him in still crying and washed him anyway, no messing.
Is there somewhere between spanking (illegal in the UK where I am) and gentle parenting?

Burping a newborn

Does anyone have any tips for burping a newborn. My baby is 2 weeks old and breastfed, and I've been really struggling to get any good burps out of him.

I know that breastfed babies generally have less gas, but sometimes he does the little gassy smile or scrunches his knees up & no matter what I try I can't get a burp out of him. He's also very fussy and wriggly when I get him into any burping position.

GHIC card for baby

Has anyone successfully applied for this for their baby? The NHS page says you need a NI number which obviously I don’t have for my baby. Otherwise it says I can add family members to my
own application, but I already have a card. Hope someone can help!

I felt something toward my toddler I'm ashamed of 😭

Not just frustration. something heavier. after they hurt the baby again. the love is completely still there — and so is this other thing that I've been carrying alone. I haven't told anyone because I don't know how to explain it. anyone else felt something they couldn't name in that moment? 💙
