Those using both, how are you getting on? I’m thinking of adding one formula feed of an evening

I breastfeed in the day and he has formula at night, I just can't make enough to satisfy him into the evening nevermind overnight. We've done this since he was born pretty much and works quite well

I am exclusively pumping, but don’t find the time to do it as often as I should and interested in this topic too 🤗

I add two tablespoons of breast milk to formula bottles. Like an immunity boost.

I’m all over the place to be fair! I know my supply is okay but not confident it’s enough, plus bubs has CMPA so used it to supplement whilst dairy left my system. I would like to do boob, bottle, boob, bottle and then boob overnight but honestly we’ve not found a rhythm yet. He rarely takes much bottle (only ever finished 1 full 4oz and usually takes 1-2 oz on avg). I try to feed when my boobs feel like they’re gonna pop lol cos then I know he’s definitely getting enough during those feeds, and boob overnight for the ease. When we go out I’ll always take bottle supplies but not always use it.

NAPPY/DIAPER PREFERENCE

So I’ve been trying out different nappies to find the best for baby girl. With my eldest daughter I used pampers and they were rubbish so I didn’t bother with them and switched to Aldi nappies and only used Aldi nappies with my son. Huggies are a no go for me.

So far number 3 (rascals) have been working the best for baby girl with number 4 in close second.

Which nappies if any of these have you found the best for your LOs?

1. Tesco (Fred and Flo)
2. Asda (Little Angels)
3. Most supermarkets (Rascals)
4. Aldi (Mamia)

If you have any other suggestions for other brands please feel free to drop a comment 🩷

Shein clothes

Im starting to look at getting some clothes. My partner doesn't like the idea of clothes from Shien because of the possible chemicals. Has anyone ever had any issues with baby clothes from them?

Burping a newborn

Does anyone have any tips for burping a newborn. My baby is 2 weeks old and breastfed, and I've been really struggling to get any good burps out of him.

I know that breastfed babies generally have less gas, but sometimes he does the little gassy smile or scrunches his knees up & no matter what I try I can't get a burp out of him. He's also very fussy and wriggly when I get him into any burping position.

GHIC card for baby

Has anyone successfully applied for this for their baby? The NHS page says you need a NI number which obviously I don’t have for my baby. Otherwise it says I can add family members to my
own application, but I already have a card. Hope someone can help!

Help settle this not serious debate between my husband and me

This is for kids old enough to play in the bath.
Do you wash your kids first then fill up the bath so they can play?
OR
Do you fill up the bath, let them play then drain and wash?

Nobody warned me I would feel this toward my own toddler 😭

Not anger exactly. something else. after they hurt the baby again. the love is completely still there — both things are true at the same time. and the second thing is the loneliest feeling I've ever carried. anyone else holding something like this silently? 💙
