Do you take mental illnesses as seriously as physical illnesses?

Is it something that should be considered a disability that requires accommodations and legal protections and understanding from others? Or is it sad, but nothing close to a physical disability? This includes both children and adults

Mental health illnesses can be completely debilitating, as well as and just as much as a physical illness at times. So I’d say it should be considered a disability that requires accommodations, legal protections and understanding from others 100% x

Ur brain is a body part, it’s an organ…. so to me; mental illness is also a physical illness. Mental illness is definitely just like any other disability

I’m sure someone will come at me for saying this, but I think it depends on the nature of the illness.

I have a history of anxiety, for example, but I’m high functioning and have no need for accommodations.

It depends on the person and the severity of the condition or diagnosis.
Not a doctor but a person may cope differently and not need accommodation or want.

I think depends on what the mental illness is .. same with physical illnesses to be fair , some are moderate whereas some are a lot more complex

It is considered a disability and something that requires accommodations

Baby’s surname

My partner messaged other women during my first trimester when I was signed off sick and struggling apparently I didn’t give him enough attention; since then he’s been lying constantly about anything and everything and even admitted he has a problem. He’s moved out and I’m 6 months pregnant already a single parent and juggling it all alone.
Of course he’s welcome to all appointments, the birth, and can be as involved as he likes but am I wrong in now considering taking his surname off the list and keeping mine?

He believes this gives him less of a connection to his son and makes him less of a dad?

Am I in the wrong?!

My partner has asked if he can go play darts and out drinking tonight… I’m 38 weeks pregnant and we have a 7 year old. I never feel comfortable with him going out as he usually comes back in a state. I never stop him going but I just feel like he isn’t thinking about me. I dunno is it just me and my hormones?!

Does anyone ever respond on this app?

I need someone to talk to, I’ve been stressing out with my marriage and it’s really taking a toll on me. I’m in California and would love to make some friends to hang out with. It’s really hard to make friends at my age but it’s worth a shot. I have 4 kids and sahm. I need to go out and get away once in a while :)

Graduation gift ideas- 8th grade

My step daughter is graduating 8th grade in about a month. I want to surprise her with a gift. She lives with her mom. So I would be mailing it or through Amazon or similar. Any ideas? I don’t have a lot to spend but I want to get her something great. She’s such a good kid and unfortunately we are going through a lot as a family right now.
