so my beautiful baby girl was born on Tuesday through c section. Due to me not dilating quick enough.
So I have some questions on like belly , swelling
So my feet are still really swollen is this normal? What’s everyone’s experiences when did it go down?
My belly this is probably gonna sound stupid but I just want to know. So I still look like I have a baby in there 😅 and I wondered what other mommas did to help the belly back to normal. Obvs I can’t go back to the gym yet so wondered what I could do in the meantime that’s safe whilst healing ?❤️🩹

Hey were you given compression socks? Its recommend to wear them a while to help with swelling and to prevent clots. I personally wore mine just over 2 weeks.
Belly wise it took a couple weeks for my belly to go down, im breast feeding and I believe they say it helps it go quicker but im ftm and only a month pp so not an expert just my experience xx

Wear a belly binder, it’s normal to be really “bloated” after having the baby. It will help a lot especially when you walk and move around. It helps you feel secure. Feet swelling is normal too. You have to buy compression socks and it will take care of it. Wear them day and night. They have to be knee high.

Buy the Frida mom belly binder it helped me so much. I was down to my pre pregnancy weight within two months.

Congratulations on your beautiful little lady 💘 your feet still being swollen is so normal, mine were swollen for like 2-3 weeks. I bought some compression socks in Boots to help and tried to keep them elevated when I could. Just keep doing those injections the hospital will have sent you home with to prevent blood clots! Your belly is also so so normal. I read it takes 6-8 weeks for your uterus to "shrink back to normal." But C Sections are different due to us being cut. It will take longer. But all so normal, enjoy your new baby and please rest 🙏🏼

Your baby and my baby girl share a birthday I also just gave birth and feet look like monsters so swollen

The swelling is normal! I ended up having both my babies by c section in the end and both times I had elephant legs and feet 😂 just keep an eye that you don't have any lopsided swelling, so one side really swollen a lot more than the other, and check for warm patches as this could be indicative if a blood clot. As others have said wear your compression socks, hospital sent me home with a pair I had to wear for 10 days alongside the blood thinning injections.
As for the belly, it will go down by around 8 weeks, but be prepared that the shape of your belly is changed no due to the incision, when the scar heals it pulls the skin in so you can expect to have a little "shelf" but it sounds like you're into fitness so with less fat around the belly area this shouldn't be that pronounced.
With regards to exercise, do not do anything strenuous for at least 6-8 weeks as you risk rupturing the scar. Gentle walks is fine once you feel up to it but no lifting or core exercise! Good luck and congratulations 🥰
