Measuring big

Is anybody else measuring big at 28-29 weeks? I had my 28 week midwife appointment today (I’m 28+4) and measuring between the 90th and 97th centile and now I’m really panicking!

I had growth scans with my daughter and always measured small so I’m not used to measuring big and the unknown!

I’m hoping for a VBAC but I’m not sure I can birth a 9-10lb baby vaginally!!

Me! It’s my first & he’s measuring at 86th at the moment, but dad is 6 ft 4 so hoping he’s just long 😅

Yes!! My marker is close to the 97th centile line however my sister in law is a midwife and said it’s tricky to be accurate from the first measurement so I’m trying not to stress about it and waiting for my next appointment to see the difference (I’m currently 29+6 and have an appointment next Thursday). Did they measure you with a tape? If so, I think my measurement was 29cm, people keep saying my bump is quite small though so not sure if it’s minor measurements differences making big differences on the growth chart at this point

Mine was completely out the chart 🤣 measuring 31cm at my 28 w appt but haven’t been referred for growth scans as my first was born big ao they believe i just have naturally big babies🤷🏽‍♀️ (husband is TALL and all his fam)

I was told I am measuring big also and if at the next appointment we are tracking big then the midwife will request for a scan. I’m also aiming for a VBAC so I am not entirely sure if I will accept an additional scan.

My partner is also 6ft, first born was estimated to be around 8-9lbs and he was born at 7lbs!! I’m not too worried. Just think I’m overall bigger😂

My belly is measuring off the top of the 97th line. But I’ve had a growth scan and baby is measuring fine I just have a lot of water 🙈

Another May baby!

Little man made his entrance a few days earlier than planned via cat 3 section because of GD causing placenta issues. He’s been hanging out on a blue light bed for a few days but seems to be much better now and jaundice has cleared. I know lots of people have worries about not expressing colostrum beforehand and I did too- I went into this having failed to express anything and a lot of reasons why my baby would need it. The second he was born I was able to express what he needed for his sugars and he’s been ebf since without an issue. Excited to see the rest of the babies make their appearances!!

Naturally inducing labour?

I know lots of people have posted about this already but I needed to make my own because I’m low key freaking out.
I just saw the consultant, she said everything is looking great except my blood pressure is a little high and my BMI is high. She said that I need to go to a day assessment clinic once a week to be monitored for my blood pressure and to keep an eye on any swelling etc.
She also says she advises I be induced between 39 and 40 weeks.

What old wives tales can I try to make sure I don’t need the induction? 🙃
Any other advice?

(I know everyone says “just say no” but if it’s medically necessary I don’t feel like I should say no 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Postpartum bleeding

Hi guys, I gave birth Friday at 5:58am and my postpartum bleeding is already incredibly light. This is my second baby and I can’t remember how long I bled for with my first to be honest (heavy wise) but I feel like it’s really light really quickly? And I don’t know if that’s normal or anyone else has had the same.
Im still wearing pads etc because bleeding is definitely still there but it’s like a mild period.
