How do you manage nausea?

I'm really struggling at the moment. I feel sick pretty much all day, and even the smell or sight of food is making me feel queasy.
The strange thing is that I'm absolutely starving, but as soon as I put food on my plate or try to eat, I just can't face it.
It will be only 7 weeks day after tomorrow, and the last 3–4 days have been especially tough. Has anyone else experienced nausea this intensely in the first trimester? If so, what helped you manage it?
I literally ate just dry brown bread and plain rice without anything as I couldn't hold hunger. 🥺
I'd really appreciate any tips or advice. ❤️

following because I’m experiencing the exact same thing

edit: Somethings that work sometimes but not always - smoothie (bolthouse, naked) real fruit bars no dairy (outshine brand) someone said applesauce packets on TikTok, and a baked potato for some odd reason didn’t curb my appetite like everything else.

Having your stomach empty OR full makes the nausea worse. Try a small snack at the top of every even hour and a cup of water (or whatever liquid sounds most palatable) at the top of each even hour.

I found sour candies like preggie pops and sour patch kids sometimes helped. Ginger soda (the stronger the better) sometimes helped.

Unisom and B6 reduce nausea over the counter but will make you sleepy.

If you are this bad now consider making an appointment with your provider. Weeks 9-14 were the worst for me (I had HG) and a perscription for zofran was a life saver. I toughed it for weeks and in hindsight it was just foolish.

I had this exact same thing when I was pregnant to the point where my urine was almost brown (sorry TMI) from dehydration because even water was making me throw up - it was like an all day everyday hangover. Terrible! Nothing but ice lollies helped me. Remember to take your prenatals everyday including folate/folic acid.

I found that clear soup with a little chilli in it helped me too. It all went away when I was 13 weeks. It’s one of those things where you have to try to manage it if you don’t want to take anti nausea medication everyday.
It most likely will stop soon. Sending you love and light 💕

If water tastes bad try adding a little lemon juice, or a favorite juice or straight juice. My best friend did better keeping down coke or flat sprite. Some people swear by mint tea or ginger tea. No matter how "unhealthy" the liquid is it's better to be hydrated, and you're almost certainly running a calorie deficit right now 🤷‍♀️

Another May baby!

Little man made his entrance a few days earlier than planned via cat 3 section because of GD causing placenta issues. He’s been hanging out on a blue light bed for a few days but seems to be much better now and jaundice has cleared. I know lots of people have worries about not expressing colostrum beforehand and I did too- I went into this having failed to express anything and a lot of reasons why my baby would need it. The second he was born I was able to express what he needed for his sugars and he’s been ebf since without an issue. Excited to see the rest of the babies make their appearances!!

Naturally inducing labour?

I know lots of people have posted about this already but I needed to make my own because I’m low key freaking out.
I just saw the consultant, she said everything is looking great except my blood pressure is a little high and my BMI is high. She said that I need to go to a day assessment clinic once a week to be monitored for my blood pressure and to keep an eye on any swelling etc.
She also says she advises I be induced between 39 and 40 weeks.

What old wives tales can I try to make sure I don’t need the induction? 🙃
Any other advice?

(I know everyone says “just say no” but if it’s medically necessary I don’t feel like I should say no 🤷🏻‍♀️)
