baby nursery updates

hey guys, my LO is 10.5mo and it’s her second day at nursery today. her nursery has a live update app however they have not posted a single thing today. I rang at half 2 to check how she was because I am that anxious mum and she was fine. but is this normal? shouldn’t they be putting on regular updates? going to speak to them when I pick her up just not sure how to say it

Ours sometimes puts a picture up, maybe two, yesterday and today none x

Definitely ask them. Same thing happened on my girls second day and I asked about it. Turns out they forgot to turn it viewable to the parents that day. They turned it on and I could see everything. Mine does naps, nappies, food and and bottles or medication but my girl refuses bottles. Also if they're doing a special activity like sensory play or something they get a picture and an update

We only get nap updates daily and photos are put up end of day on a Friday for the week. Personally I prefer that as at least I know they are playing with my kid rather than faffing on a iPad

Mine will update food once been eaten, but nappy changes they do at the end of the day. (Not sure in bottles as mine never took)

Then photos are as and when, sent through randomly.

My girls nursery don't update often as they focus more on the kids than the technology. They put her nappy changes on and her nap. The occasional photo, some days you get a few and other days you get none.

It's not really live. Some nurseries it has to be done or approved by a manager. Some nurseries all staff can put them on. Some nurseries use paper charts and then do a big upload of nappies etc twice a day. Every one does it differently.

We don't get daily pictures, we get a weekly round up. And food/nappies through the day don't start getting updated until about lunch time even though he'll have had 2 meals and nappies changed by then

We get a care diary at the end of each day with food, sleep and nappies and photos are random

Just wondering if anyone can make any recommendations on the best steriliser out there and a baby bouncer/highchair?
I’m looking for an combi bouncer/highchair if possible. ☺️

3/4 months changes

Hi writing this out of exhaustion. My baby’s long stretches have suddenly disappeared and baby waking more frequently at night and won’t settle unless on me belly to belly? It’s not a feeding thing as baby is waking shortly after his night feed unsettled. Baby also not gassy or got wind.

Is you baby talking yet?

By cooing I mean ah, eh, squeals etc no actual word sounds like ma/ da/ ga etc

Naps

Can I ask, whenever my mum texts in the morning to ask how our night was (due to baby not sleeping longer than 1/2 hours before crying, she’s 8 months)
I tell her it was rubbish again blah blah
My mum seems to think my problem is having a nap schedule - by that all I do is follow her cues and by the 3/4hour wake window mark she’s ratty and wants a nap so I let her??? Isn’t that the normal thing to do??
She seems to be so confused by this and says she’s never heard anything like it 😂 she’s mid 40’s and had her last baby 12 years ago so I guess things change but I’m just checking this is normal following wake windows and napping 😂

Baby has 3 naps a day purely bcos we are up at 3/4 am most mornings as she won’t sleep. On good nights which are rare she will get up 6ish after I mange to settle her in my bed then she will have only 2 naps with a bed time between 6-7

Don’t even know if this makes sense but need to just get it off my chest

Car seat

Can anyone help my 5 month old still has her newborn insert in her car seat we have silver cross cove. She is clearly too big for it but if I take it out her head hangs down. She has good neck control so can lift it if she wants to but doesn't and sometimes we do hour long journeys. Everytime I've tried without ive ended up pulling over and putting the insert back in. Her head hangs as she's teething to trying to get to the straps to put in her mouth. If I gave her a teething toy she would just drop it and cry. TYIA
