6 months old toys recommendations

(Probably question for not FTM’s)

My baby is 6.5 months old and is VERY active! (Must be after me, I can’t sit in one place 🤣)

He can roll both ways, crawl, sit not for very long but still, and want me to hold him so he can walk! 🙈🫠

What toys would you recommend so we can practise more sitting or so he can play with it while sitting?

Also, anything for crawling or climbing?

baby nursery updates

hey guys, my LO is 10.5mo and it’s her second day at nursery today. her nursery has a live update app however they have not posted a single thing today. I rang at half 2 to check how she was because I am that anxious mum and she was fine. but is this normal? shouldn’t they be putting on regular updates? going to speak to them when I pick her up just not sure how to say it

ROLLING?!?!?

Can someone please tell me if their 12 week old is doing the same.

My daughter was having tummy time and time on the floor playing on her baby gym when she rolled pretty much onto her front. Now , I’m not bragging whatsoever because I know that some people will panic that their children are far behind or too far ahead etcetera, however she has been rolling onto her side for about two weeks now and yesterday she fully rolled pretty much onto her front, but her arm was stuck out so she wasn’t completely on her front. I’ve also noticed that the last couple of days she has been waking up earlier because she normally sleeps through the night, and she is not taking naps very well unless she is in my arms.

Is anyone else going through the same because it’s amazing! But I just feel like it’s so early for these milestones to be hit. Is a 12 week sleep progression a thing? I honestly cannot remember from when my toddler was this age and know that she wasn’t rolling until she was atleast 4 months old.

10-12 month check up

I received our letter for the 10-12month check with the health visitors. I know this is optional but is anyone else thinking of declining? I have really bad experiences with health visitors and I have no development concerns and I’m seeing a dietician for his allergy so don’t see the need to be stressed going to the health visitor?

I guess just wanted to see if anyone else is skipping it!

How would you have reacted better?

Bare in mind i have been awake since 3am.
My 4.5 yo does not sleep well and wakes early

Yesterday we started a method of always putting 4 yo back into his own bed. He did well til 3am then did several wakes then stayed awake with me from about 415 am. We were in a different room to 1.5 yo who woke for a feed before 5am

I told 4yo im going in to feed baby back to sleep, so lets be quiet or you can go sleep next go daddy until he wakes up. My 4 yo said kindly i want to give baby brother a cuddle. I said no no no, its still his sleep time, he needs booby not cuddles. But 4 yo tried to get i. Before me. Then tried to cuddle inbetween baby and edge of bed, then inbetween both of us. All while i hissed at him to stop or wait, baby needs milk. Then i pick up baby to feed on lap and once on breast just held 4 yo back with other arm and we spun around arguing and 4 yo cried whole time

Obviously baby woke up

If i had taken longer up front to explain then baby woulda woken too. Or gone n taken 4 yo to dad then same. It was a rough morning. Any ideas how i coulda handled that better

We tried to show 4 yo the consequences of his actions all the way until nurserry time. Basically saying we are all too tired and can’t play, we didnt have breakfast fast enough coz we are tired, breakfast is taking long coz baby is tired and making a mess so there’s no one to put the TV on your fave show as we are busy cleaning. 4 yo had to do a lot of waiting this morning. Not sure what conversation to have with him later about thus either

But rn I just need sleep 🙏

Grieving breastfeeding

I am so gutted. I have had to stop breastfeeding earlier than I expected (6 months) because of my mental health. I know it's the right choice for me. I did feel a huge weight lifted when I stopped. But I'm also so sad. My baby fed to sleep with the bottle for the first time today and I'm so happy he can do that so he's not missing that (he didn't do it much with the boob either but occasionally) but it is also heartbreaking. I wanted to go to at least 11 months and I feel like I've failed him and myself.

I just feel so alone in this choice. I know others have done this but all I read all the time is people who are breastfeeding or weaning their toddlers and I can't explain to my baby why he doesn't get to have the boob anymore...

Has anyone else had to stop BF earlier than you expected or after 6ish months? I just want to feel less alone.
