Urgent- Toddler behaviour specialist - anyone hired one / know someone that has?

Has anyone ever hired one of these toddler behaviour management specialists who come to stay for a few days to help you better learnt to manage tricky toddler issues you’re struggling with.

It’s not cheap. But I’m a solo parent no extended family and feel I’m so in the dark with the tantrums I’m both confusing my daughter and a third of the time loosing my patience. It’s got really bad my lack of feeling I can’t do this with no guidance I’m dreading spending time with her 🤦🏼‍♀️

She’s super smart (smarter than I ever was) but I don’t have the skills, the support network. The help. And I’m reaching breaking point. Starting to feel like if I don’t get some outsider help I’ll damage our relationship and these are the crucial years. I need it for both myself and her.

Has anyone used one of these professionals, knows someone that has?

Before I use our only holiday fund to book one I’ve spoken to. (They’re not cheap 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️). Can anyone help shed some or any light in if this is a waste of money or it helped someone you know who did this?

Have you had a look into free resources about toddler development?Tons and tons of useful articles online.Might be worth a try before shelling out as knowledge can definitely be power in terms of understanding what your toddler might be needing/asking for underneath the "challenging" behaviour.I've learnt a lot that I think has been really helpful from articles about developmental stages etc.Youre obviously very on the ball and wanting to get it right for her and you both,so I'm sure you'll find your way with it!Good luck x

Stopping weaning

I took baby to be weighed today, she’s 5 months and a week and put on weight so back to her centile. They were happy and I mentioned we had started weaning just porridge in the morning and a veg in the evening. She’s always had reflux and she was quite a bit sick with the veg. They suggested just doing the porridge each day instead as she might not be ready. I really thought she was ready. I work in childcare I know all the guidelines but I feel like I’ve failed so so much. She loved her food but I feel like I’ve failed her.

When to start baby sensory?

When did you all start baby sensory classes? My baby is nearly 8 weeks, but unsure if he’ll fully benefit from it yet?

Advice

My BD goes out every weekend atleast once a week. I’ve voiced how I don’t agree with this when I’m at home nd we have 2 kids under 2. He goes on to say I’m controlling him and I’m being in reasonable.
I’ve never said he can’t go out I just want him to prioritise his family and not be out partying every weekend.
Am I being unreasonable ?

Child maintenance let's talk!

My sons dad is granted to pay 115.68 each week going through child maintenance but we decided between us to go private and direct which he then went to 70 pounds I did agree as something is better than nothing.
I'm that reasonable when special occasions around the corner I don't expect any payments.
Today his contacted me saying he wants to lower it another 20 pounds which would leave me with 50 pounds each week which by the way I do use it for every day essentials like shopping and what the child needs.
I can't be only one that finds it cheeky this guy is trying to lower it more than 50% than it should be.
From115.68
Down to 70
Now wanting to pay 50
Each week he pocket 65.68
Do I go back through the child maintenance services or simply try stand on my boundaries and let him know I do think his taking the piss a little.
Child maintenance is only so high because he has 1 over night stay every 1 -2 weeks .
Which again he was granted weekends and never stuck to them either ..
I have mentioned if child maintenance is gonna lower he needs to be having more contact in that sense as that's how it would calculate on the services also
