C-Section Experience

My first was delivered via emergency c-section and it was an absolute nightmare. Such a traumatic experience for me. Now I'm pregnant with my second and would like to hear stories from other C-section mamas who had it scheduled instead. I've heard mixed stories - some say the scheduled C-section recovery was similar to a vaginal birth. While others seem to have had a traumatic experience too. I am strongly considering vbac as well, but I also know it's going to really depend on the provider and where they stand. So just keeping my options open and trying to be more prepared this time.

I'm not exactly your target audience as I had a Vbac for my 2nd.
(I really wanted the vbac) He was nearly 3 weeks early so gave them no choice but I was heavily being influenced/pushed to have a scheduled C-section! Just so you are aware it may be kinda pushed your way ☺️

I had an emergency c section with my first and a planned one with my second - for me, the planned one was a dream! Very straightforward, I’m and out quickly and no worry about what might happen. Obviously the recovery isn’t easy but I found it so much better than my emergency - I wasn’t tired, hungry or weak like I was the first time around so my body had a better starting point to recover from!
I was out off a vbac when I heard about the chances of my scar rupturing, any chance of that and I wasn’t doing it 😂

I literally was just so set in my mind I wanted to do it that way as long as it was safe for baby. I just pretty much told them I wanted the vbac each time, I had a call about it telling me all the scary bits of a vbac wanting me to book in, I wasn't convinced so they were going to call me at 38 weeks I think it was but I ended up going into labour naturally at 37 weeks thankfully so I didn't need to worry about it.

I really don't envy you because it really is such a difficult decision to make!

The birth was absolutely fine, I got 3rd-4th degree tears but I felt completely myself afterwards whereas after the emergency C-section I was a total zombie!

Doula Experiences

Hello! I was wondering if people wouldn’t mind sharing their experiences of working with a doula?

I love the idea, especially as a first time mum who wants a natural birth, but worry I’m just getting caught up in something that’s becoming more popular.

Thanks! 🙏🏼

Hey everybody☺️💞!!

A mom here really needs help. I tried to look to see if they have any groups for moms that are due in September and there is no groups so I really don’t know where to put this besides here I really need help I am 25 weeks pregnant rn with a baby girl she is breech do anybody have any tips on how I can get her in the right position because I had got rushed to the hospital the other day and I had asked the doctor or the nurse what would happen if she doesn’t go in the right position and they basically told me told me if she is not turned by time I make 29 weeks It is most likely that I will have to have a cesarean section (C-section) so I'm hoping and fucking praying this little girl turn the proper way I never had a breech baby before so I really don’t know what to do to help her get in the right position like I’m really stuck right now 💞💞🎀!!!

Name too close to sibling?

We have a son Henry and am pregnant with a girl. Super stuck for names.
We both love Harriet but know it will get shortened to Harri. Is this too close to Henry? Henry and Harri.
Other name we both like is Matilda but I don’t like Madi ahhh!

Is this a really faint line?

Can’t tell if I’ve got line eyes… I’d be happy either way. It’s throwing me off because the line isn’t in the centre but, the not pregnant one isn’t either. Help please 🙏🏻
