My daughter has stayed out once with my mum, I was SO anxious, I’m a stay at home mum so literally never without her but we were attending a child free wedding. She absolutely loved it, she’s a horrendous sleeper for us but slept 13 hours for my mum!🤣🤦‍♀️

Yeah I’ve done it quite a few times, around once a month/2 months my mum will have him overnight so me and my partner can go for a little date night, and he absolutely loves my mum so he loves it lol

No my son still feeds through the night and will only go to sleep with me so not happening anytime soon!
I’ve got a 3 year old too and only not been there for bedtime once when I gave birth to my son 😂

My baby girl has been staying once a week at my mums since she was 4/5 months old and honestly we all love it. She sleeps great there and has her own toys and routine when she goes there and has a blast. Today I got to sleep till 930 and am loving it 🥰

Epidural

What is everyone’s thoughts and experiences with having the epidural as I’m looking into possibly having this, I’m due end of September and I’m starting to feel very anxious about my birth as it’s my first and don’t know what to expect.🩷

Is this normal for a doctor to talk like this?

Am I overreacting or would this interaction with my doctor upset you too? 😅

To give some context… I’ve honestly been avoiding the scale a little this pregnancy because it gives me anxiety.

Today I had an appointment and finally got weighed, and I got worried because I gained more than I thought I had. I asked my doctor if it was normal and if there was anything I could do or any recommendations he had.

At first I also asked him about some sciatic/joint pain and pressure I’ve been feeling, and he was already coming across kind of cold and dismissive. But when I asked about the weight gain, the conversation got really intense.

He basically told me “you know how to eat healthy,” and when I tried explaining that pregnancy has changed my body, hunger levels, cravings, etc., and that I was just looking for guidance/reassurance, he got very harsh. He kept saying he’s “not a nutritionist,” and then eventually told me I was “hurting my baby,” being “selfish,” that I had “mental problems,” “body dysmorphia,” and needed therapy.

At that point I started crying because of how he was talking to me, and he still kept going. My husband even stepped in and tried to soften the conversation.

Now I honestly don’t know if I’m overreacting because hormones/emotions are high right now… or if that was actually not okay bedside manner from a doctor?
