IN NEED OF BABY THINGS🙏🏼🙏🏼

Anyone have any resources or ways to get cheap or free baby essentials?? I have no safe sleep space, no diapers or wipes, bottles, basically anything and everything. A month away from baby boy coming. I live in Ohio🥲 my baby shower fell through ( only got clothes for lo) and with so little time left I am stressing.

Do you have a once upon a child near you? They sometime sell diapers and stuff like that for cheap

Hey hun, there are a couple facebook groups that you can add your registry to that will send what you need or prefer! They’re are a lot of members most times but don’t be discouraged. If you let them know you’re in need they are a great help.

You can try Facebook marketplace or I think there are some free groups. Also try vinted as you can get cheap bits from there. Idk how you got to 8 months with nothing but I wish you the best & I hope you get everything you need.

Could also ask relatives if you have some that have had children recently for hand me downs. If you were in the uk I could of sent you some clothes/bottles but it wouldn’t be worth sending to USA :(

Pulled this online:
1-800-755-4769; it is a 24/7 hotline that connects pregnant individuals to immediate pregnancy information, medical access, and community resources.

Facebook marketplace where I am occasionally gets people in search of those in need to give supplies to, it's worth looking out for! I went in person to churches and asked to speak with someone who could talk with me about resources and support with pregnancy and managed to get some help that way. Also get WIC for baby as soon as you're able even if you don't qualify for aid you might be eligible to get something for baby so you have staples at the very least.

Worst case sell some excess clothes yourself and use the cash to get supplies. Downsize and do that with other things if you can. Hope you are able to find supplies! Our hospital let us take wipes and diapers up the wahoo after the birth so that might be helpful initially 🙏🏼

I don’t know the area of Ohio you’re in but if you google or on fb even search mutual aid insert city you’re in or near you may find a local mutual aid group near you. They’d be more than happy to help you out with resources and point you in the direction of other things too.

Many communities have a “buy nothing” Facebook group. Join yours and ask community members for what you need. In my experience, people are very grateful to pass items along they no longer need. Also, ask your midwife/OB to connect you to local resources for things like free diapers. If you haven’t joined WIC, that’s another great resource for free supplies and groceries, and can likely refer you to further resources in your community.

Calpol after jabs

My daughter has just had her jabs and I’ve been advised to give her calpol every 4 hours. Just tried to give her the first dose and she spat most of it out. Any tips 🥺

How would you approach this? Trying to be discrete as she stalks my socials.

A former friend of mine recently contacted me to let me know that her cat died. She was very upset and was looking for reassurance, however I was still very angry with her regarding an incident earlier that day.

The reason why we aren't friends is because she has broken my trust in many ways. We are colleagues and she has been talking to people behind my back about mine and my son's health to other colleagues and mutual friends. Yes we aren't a picture of health but my son is happy and I'm fit to work. The things she says simply aren't true and I'm sick of her lies. The incident in question occurred when she was questioning my ability to care for my son infront of colleagues.

I distanced myself from her for this reason until she rang me out of the blue. She has lied before about her cat going missing for over a week when we didn't speak for over a month due to a seperate incident which included more of her lies. and a part of me isn't trusting that her cat has very sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. Her story didn't make sense.

Do I trust her and send my sympathies or is this another way for her to worm her way back in?

Baby feeding herself

My 8 and a half month old refuses to feed herself in her cot. She will feed herself while I change her nappy or on the sofa but refuses to finish the bottle until I feed her in her cot to go to sleep or nap. The cot is really awkward and it’s killing my back! Anyone have any tips please??🙏

Paranormal Activity

This post is a question for all the mums out there!

It might sound like a joke, but when I'm breastfeeding my baby, she very often looks over my shoulder and starts smiling. The funny (and slightly creepy!) thing is that she always smiles at the same corners of the house, where there is absolutely nothing and no one.

I'm not going to lie, it creeps me out a little bit 😂. Sometimes I even ask her, "Who came to see you? Who are you smiling at?"

Has anyone else experienced this with their baby? Please tell me it's a normal baby thing and not that I have ghosts in my house! 👻😂

My baby girl is four months old and she just started doing something that's so dang cute!

When I can tell she's tired, I take her up to our room and lay her down in her bassinet. Then she rolls over to her side and I lay a soft blanky on her and she goes right to sleep!! Anyone else experiencing this?? She's already self-soothing.
