I’m freaking myself out that my baby hasn’t gotten enough breast milk in the night. He usually is up eating so much more but tonight he was slept a lot more and when he gets up to eat he falls asleep quickly or doesn’t seem to have a great latch. Is he going to be fine I’m stressing.

He is ok, mama. Babies go thru phases of lots of eating or lots of sleeping… plus I don’t know how old your LO is but I’m guessing just a few months? As their little bellies grow, they can go longer stints between feeds.

If he's gained back his birth weight after the first week, he's on a good track. That second week is typical for a growth spurt so some extra sleep is part of that, if he hasn't yet he will likely go through a cluster feed again during this week, I'm sure you're doing excellent, momma. If you have a pump you could always do a pump session while he's sleeping just to check on your supply if it could bring you some clarity and to also make sure your body knows to keep producing more if he does happen to sleep through a feed. But week 2 a cluster feed is definitely coming. You got this 🤍 if you have any big concerns or this concern grows I'd say call his pediatrician, you could always ask to wait to feed till you get there check his weight give him a feeding and then check the weight again to see what he's taking in.
