Bless you :( I bed rotted with my first pregnancy and it was lovely. Then fell pregnant quickly after she was born so was huge when she started to become her most active and felt awful I couldn’t do much. Small and frequent snacks, sip on water frequently, rest whenever you can, sleep when toddler sleeps, warm showers but on the cooler side. Have a cup or coffee in a flask to sip on throughout the day. Set up a “safe play” box/area for toddler. Crayons. Aquamat. Washing basket of safe things they can explore that aren’t their usual toys - kitchen spatula, plastic jug, sponges, plastic cups etc. make use of the TV! And if you have a good support network, make use of them. Don’t be afraid to ask for their help!

I also found peppermint tea really helped with nausea/stomach problems!

Ginger is supposed to help, you can get ginger tablets you can eat.

I found walking to help, so going to the park with the toddler might a good thing.

WIBTA for calling my son Henry?

I am due in Dec and if my blood test was right, we're having a boy (we find out 'offically' at 15 weeks due to private gender scan') I have loved the name Henry for a long time but I am wondering if that name is not appropriate for the time with the recent murder of Henry Novak and the uprising here in the UK. This is a very sensitive subject so I hope I haven't been disrespectful.

What would you pick?

So my husband is blue collar and has some big projects that have him being a bit out of town for work, like middle of nowhere, and it could take him 2.5 hours to get to the hospital.

With that he asked if I'm sure I don't want to be induced. My previous deliveries were not easy and it's why I never wanted more. But we risk the chance of him not being present if I don't. I'm torn because I really want him there but I hate the thought of being medicated again for delivery, even if it's just pitocin, it slowed down the rate of contractions for me. He is supportive of my decision

So what would you pick?

Wound opening

Has anyone experienced their wound opening on one side?

I had my stitches removed yesterday afternoon and noticed last night my wound had come open and was leaking. I went into hospital and they haven’t stitched it back up, only gave me antibiotics incase it becomes infected.

Is this normal practice? It weirds me out that it’s open! 😬

First ultrasound

Just had our confirmation ultrasound! The tech told me I’m measuring 7 weeks 1 day and heartbeat is 145 bpm! Did anyone else get measured bigger? Due date was January 26th now it’s better estimated at January 21st. So excited!!
