Sex 5 weeks after c section?

I tried at 8 weeks and it hurt even with lube!

I was really horny 3 weeks pp (no idea why when i was sleep deprived haha) and ended up having sex with my partner. It didnt hurt, slight tugging but that was it. Its recommended to wait until at least 6 weeks, same as a vaginal birth. I dont regret doing it earlier, but the risks of infection and stuff isnt worth it. Everyone is different and only you know when you feel ready to have sex again.

We waited, it really wasn’t that appealing to either of us with a newborn and just tiredness but also it’s not really worth it for 10 mins. I’ve seen mums on here talk about infections, open wounds, core muscle separation, overhang, chronic UTIs, another pregnancy straight after and other horror stories.

Personally just let yourself heal. We waited 8 weeks and it was not a fun experience that first 2/3 times. You’ll be back in the sack before you know it though so look after your body and it’ll look after you.

it’s recommended to wait 6 weeks minimum because of the huge risk of infection. it’s just not worth it

Hey I waited the 6 weeks

We did it 5 weeks pp. didn’t hurt at all. (I did heal super quick though, was cleaning and hoovering 4 days pp)
Infact, having the best sex now 😂

It's definitely recommended to wait at least 6 weeks. We did it at 2 weeks 🫣 no pain or discomfort, was actually much better than after my vaginal birth. Baby is now nearly 12 months and we've had the best sex life since he was born 😂

You have an open wound the size of a dinner plate in your uterus after giving birth that needs time to fully heal 6-8 weeks. The risk of infection is huge before this and not worth it for sex.

Wait until 10 weeks more enjoyable, and less pain
