Gestation diabetes/glucose test

I wasnt offered any test for it (27w so far), while other mums to be I know have been tested… does it only apply to some specific cases?

Yes, its in specific circumstances. Its not offered to everyone. Some examples, high bmi, family history, is why a midwife would refer the test

I got it offered and understood it's done by default

I didn’t get offered untill I was 33 weeks only because my baby was measuring too big, so I think it’s only for specific cases

There are certain risk factors that make you eligible for the glucose test and usually you won’t be offered one unless you have them or symptoms. I didn’t have any of the risk factors but was feeling really unwell and I had high sugar levels in my urine at my 28 week appointment so I was offered it then x

You can look up the risk factors, that’s the only people they test other than those whose babies seem LGA or return positive urine tests x

Should I be stressing this bad??

I’m 23 and just found out I’m pregnant (multiple positive tests, 6 days late). 🥹❤️ My fiancé and I are getting married in 83 days, and our joint bachelor/bachelorette trip is in 37 days.

This baby was definitely a happy surprise, and my fiancé’s reaction was the sweetest thing ever — he was all smiles and giggles. 🥹💕 The Godparents of our other 2 children knows, but nobody else does yet.

I’m over the moon excited, but also feeling overwhelmed. I keep worrying about:

• Being pregnant at our wedding.
• Whether my dress will still fit.
• How I’ll feel on the bach trip.
• Whether we should tell everyone before the wedding, announce it at the wedding, or afterwards.
• Just… everything. 😅

I know these are all blessings, and I’m so thankful, but I feel like I’m trying to process two huge life events at once and my brain is going a million miles an hour.

Any other mamas who planned a wedding while pregnant? Or found out right before their wedding? How far along were you, and do you have any advice? 🩷💙👶💍

Please tell me I’m not the only one who’s been both incredibly excited and completely stressed at the same time. 🫶🏼🥹💕

Weight gain

I feel like I’ve already gained 10lbs in the first trimester cause my diet has been so terrible. I don’t typically eat this much carbs and sugar but all I crave is junk food, milk and cereal, or fruit, the thought of anything else makes me want to vom. :( I haven’t eaten vegetables in weeks.

Glucose tolerance test QA

Does anyone know how long it takes to get glucose tolerance test results back from QA? Do they go on to badger notes?
I had mine last Tues and have not heard anything back yet. Should I assume no news is good news?
