6 weeks not 9? 🤷

So today I had a scan because I have been spotting since Friday. Because the NHS measure your weeks from the first day of your last period, I was told I was 9 weeks. But today on the scan, they saw no obvious reason for bleeding, a sack and a tiny embryo that was 6 weeks not 9.

I have PCOS so my implantation and ovulation could have been delayed from what I thought, but also because I was tracking everything, I believe conception was on the 27/28th April which would actually put me at the 6 weeks that is showing on the scan.

I’m hoping this is the case as otherwise it would be a delayed miscarriage. Although with all the spotting, it’s possible that’s still happening…has anyone else had similar examples of weird or wrong dating, or spotting at 6 weeks that would be light, slightly heavier, ramping up in the middle of the day and then getting lighter again over night…???

Thanks for listening šŸ˜¬ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

Hey lisa, i had a miscarriage Aug last year, i was 6 weeks 3 days also with pcos the 1st week was very light spotting which only lasted a day and didnt think much of it ... week later the spotting was back.. i contacted the midwife she said it was anything to worry about as its only light spotting an hour later it got a bit more .. the midwife booked a scan for me and i found out i was having a delayed miscarriage and was advise to take some pills to help it along. Its was a very hard time for us.. anyways there was alady in A&E that was going through the same issues but she was fine and had a heart beat
. Wishing you all the luck it sticks x

I also had delayed miscarriage last year, thought i was 6w 4days but on early scan showed sack but nothing else obviously meaning it didnt grow past a certain point, had spotting the day after the scan which turned into miscarriage. Its easier said than done but try not to worry. If you are really unsure you can call EPU in your area to ask for a blood test and then go back in 48 hrs to check hcg progression, this is the only way you can confirm other than waiting for another scan. Crossing my fingers for you🩷

6-8 Week appointment

Hey everyone,

I’ve just had my 6–8 week postnatal appointment after a vaginal birth, and I’m a bit surprised that there wasn’t really any physical check to see how everything had healed.

My appointment seemed to focus mostly on baby, with only a few questions about how I was feeling.

Just wondering what other people’s experiences were and whether this is normal. Thanks 😊

Has anybody experienced having sex 5 weeks post c section? I’m not sure what the guidance is and I’m scared of it hurting/ causing any damage but do feel mentally ready.

Any advice please?

C-section what to expect ?

So I’m due my baby girl 3rd of July but because of reasons and 1 her measuring big it’s in talks to either induce or have a C-section when I’m 38-39 weeks.

Can anyone give me some advice or experiences with what it’s like, recovery wise, mentally, physically, anything I need to know about in terms of affects after in the long term or even short term etc.

I’m nervous for it and need an insight to what i may go through. Thankyouu

Best outing for a first birthday

I am thinking rather than putting on a gathering party my little one would rather have an adventure, I am posting distances from us as this should be a factor in the poll, and his birthday is in August

Your first ultrasound experience?

Any ladies felt any discomfort or pain? from the pressure? ive always felt sensitive if anyone touches my belly lol. the woman was rougher and the man was way better!

maybe my belly fat doesn’t help either. if i had done it myself it would have been less pain because it’s anticipated movements from my hands lol

Baby number threešŸ’•

So I am seven weeks pregnant and typically I am toilet bound for six months of pregnancy because I can’t stop throwing up surprisingly though this pregnancy, I haven’t felt the slightest bit of nausea whatsoever. My first two were girls could this one possibly be a boy?šŸ˜
