So today I had a scan because I have been spotting since Friday. Because the NHS measure your weeks from the first day of your last period, I was told I was 9 weeks. But today on the scan, they saw no obvious reason for bleeding, a sack and a tiny embryo that was 6 weeks not 9.
I have PCOS so my implantation and ovulation could have been delayed from what I thought, but also because I was tracking everything, I believe conception was on the 27/28th April which would actually put me at the 6 weeks that is showing on the scan.
Iām hoping this is the case as otherwise it would be a delayed miscarriage. Although with all the spotting, itās possible thatās still happeningā¦has anyone else had similar examples of weird or wrong dating, or spotting at 6 weeks that would be light, slightly heavier, ramping up in the middle of the day and then getting lighter again over nightā¦???
Thanks for listening š¬ā¤ļøāš©¹ā¤ļøāš©¹ā¤ļøāš©¹

Hey lisa, i had a miscarriage Aug last year, i was 6 weeks 3 days also with pcos the 1st week was very light spotting which only lasted a day and didnt think much of it ... week later the spotting was back.. i contacted the midwife she said it was anything to worry about as its only light spotting an hour later it got a bit more .. the midwife booked a scan for me and i found out i was having a delayed miscarriage and was advise to take some pills to help it along. Its was a very hard time for us.. anyways there was alady in A&E that was going through the same issues but she was fine and had a heart beat
. Wishing you all the luck it sticks x

I also had delayed miscarriage last year, thought i was 6w 4days but on early scan showed sack but nothing else obviously meaning it didnt grow past a certain point, had spotting the day after the scan which turned into miscarriage. Its easier said than done but try not to worry. If you are really unsure you can call EPU in your area to ask for a blood test and then go back in 48 hrs to check hcg progression, this is the only way you can confirm other than waiting for another scan.
