Cheap but safe car seat

We’ve just realised we need a second car seat a lot sooner than expected, but I’m on £0 wage until I return to work. We have the joei I-spin which is our main car seat, but we need a second one for my husbands car. The most it’ll be used is for him to drop our son to nursery once a day, which is a mile down the road - that’s all it will be used for. I don’t want to spend loads, we can’t anyway, but we want it to be safe because anything can happen in that distance.

How much are you looking to spend? I've just ordered the joie steadi for £100, from the research i did its one of the best ones at a lowish price, there is cheaper out there just look into it abit before commiting, check how they are tested. Some go up to £400!

Baby fall

I’m posting this anonymous because I don’t want to be prejudged. My little girl is 9 month old and has just fell off the sofa, I literally stood up and turned my back for a second to grab something, done it loads of times and never had an issue, it happened at between 7-7:30. She’s been sick a little down herself just before. Am I the worst mam in the world? Will she be alright having a nap? The mam guilt is something else right now. We’ve been up since 5:30 so she’s getting tired as well

If your LO is already sleeping or has fallen asleep at home and you need to go out do you wake them up or let them sleep.

When I say you need to go out I'm not talking a must like a GP's appt. I'm talking say to meet up with a friend.

My 3 weeks old son slept through the night

Good morning, I’m panicking because my son only sleeps in my arms throughout the day and in the past two days every time I tried to put him in his cot he would wake up after 5 minutes. So he had very poor sleep for the past 48 hours. Yesterday I was exhausted and he finally fell asleep. I woke up in the morning and he never woke up to be fed last night. This morning he woke up I changed him and I breastfed him as usual. He doesn’t seem stressed, but I feel really guilty. Did this happen to anyone? Should I be worried?

Supply affected overnight?

My 4 week old slept 5 hours last night which meant it was 6 hours between feeds. Whilst I enjoyed the sleep and know it’s unlikely to last I’m worried a few days like this could impact my supply. She feeds each evening from 5-9 every hour ish
I’m EBF and not pumping, would you set an alarm and wake in the night to try and dream feed/hand express? I had such a terrible BF journey triple feeding with my first I really don’t want my supply to drop.
Baby is feeding well throughout the day (every 2.5 hours or less) and has enough wet nappies.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Night shifts/feeding

My partner is going back to work soon, we’ve been super lucky as he’s managed to have 4 weeks paternity leave but my goodness - how do you manage night shifts/feeding when your partner returns to work?

We are only just managing at the moment with two of us and dreading him returning to work and how I’ll manage considering he’ll need enough sleep to actually be able to do his job. Advice appreciated!!

Baby carrier recommendations

Hello!

I would like to buy (another) baby carrier and need some recommendations, please.

I currently have a wrap baby carrier and my baby loves it. However, I would like to buy something that is easier and faster to put on.
My baby is 1 months old.

I would appreciate any recommendations from your own experience.

Thank you so much ♥️
