6 week old won’t sleep

Am I going insane!? Today my baby’s probably slept a whole of 4/5hrs since 9am. She’s not sick, she’s been fed, burped, bathed, comforted, fresh nappy. This has all came out of no where. Feel like I’m loosing the will lol

My 7 week old will only nap for 45 minutes to an hour during the day! But he sleeps for 6-8 hours during the night so I don’t mind him being awake all day, it’s just harder to get jobs done we have to do them in town together 😂

They have a growth spurt around this time that may disrupt sleep, you’re not going insane girl 😂

Nooo you're not insane. At 6 weeks they have a spike in development which means they struggle to sleep as their brains are changing so much. It will pass and it will change. Just lean into it for now. 🩷

I think weeks 6-8 i almost cracked, he just NEVER napped and was so aggy from being overtired. He just refused! Id love to give you advice on how i fixed it but i honestly think it was just time, it got easier and easier to get him to nap and only in the last week or so has he been actually easy and predictable to put down, hes 11 weeks now so id say from 9 weeks on it eases up a bit and from 10 it was much better They’re just going through so much at that time it’s a lot for them. Swaddle contact or pram naps and hopes and prayers are basically all that got me through
Also huckleberry has helped me, the ‘sweetspot’ nap planning is actually impressively accurate and does make avoiding getting overtired a lot easier but dont put too much stress on those wake windows at this age and forcing a nap, the harder i tried to get him to nap the more frustrated id become. Just hang in there!!

Do you kiss your kids on the lips?

I was at playgroup today with my 1 and 2 year old chatting with another mum whilst they were running around and my eldest came up to me mid chat and put her hand on my shoulder and leaned in for a kiss then hugged me and ran off I obviously kissed her back. My youngest copies everything her big sister does and did the same.

The mum I was talking to asked me don’t I feel strange them kissing me on the lips that she won’t let her little boy. I never thought about it but now I’m thinking is this weird I do it? Should I stop them kissing me on the lips and stick to kissing on their forehead 🥴

Freaking out- flat spot on baby’s head.

So I took my little one to the doctor he’s 4 months old and the pediatrician sent a referral to a social worker for in house PT I’m concerned. I’m doing my best to reshape his head. I’m just upset do they think I’m neglecting my baby? This is only the 1st time my doctor told me they were concerned about his flat spot I have always asked in the past

Feeds

My baby is 6 weeks and has been taking 5 ounce bottles every 3-4 hours since she was 2 weeks old but is starting to look for more. Is anyone else’s baby this age taking 5+ ounces? I’m scared to put her up incase it’s too much but she’s constantly hungry

Grunting baby

For the last 5 weeks, my baby has been generally easy to put down at night but the past 3 nights have been absolute hell. From 2/3 am he will grunt and squirm like he wants to poo and wants to be held but even then he still squirms like crazy. Anyone experiencing the same? This is my second and I co-slept with my first but even co-sleeping won't settle this baby.
