Anxiety with Pregnancy

I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant and from the day I got the positive Test I’ve had constant anxiety. I feel like I have to Google every symptom I have if I don’t feel like it’s normal, or if I want to eat something, I have to Google if it’s safe to eat first and it’s got to the point where every day I’m googling something different and I try not to but it’s incredibly hard.

Does anyone else have similar thoughts?

I live with anxiety and had severe post natal anxiety.

I think a normal amount of anxiety is quite common and usually healthy in pregnancy though x

It's not unusual to be anxious but if you've already got a history of anxiety/MH issues or if you feel like it's getting out of hand definitely ask your midwife or GP to refer you for perinatal mental health support.
Googling a few things before you eat them is normal, but if you feel you're becoming obsessive or it's stopping you from eating, definitely reach out for help. I googled everything I ate for a while but I felt it was managable. However I didn't sleep for 2 days because I was researching pushchairs and safety guidelines, and all I could worry about was making the wrong choice. I had to call in sick to work because I'd become obsessed. The perinatal mental health team called me the day after I spoke to my midwife

Pregnant

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant with baby number 2. First of all I’m terrified. We planned on another but thought it would be a couple of months before start trying. But turns out the baby is due the exact same time as my first. Why am I embarrassed by this?
I am so nervous to tell people. I don’t know how I’m going to manage the juggle. Any tips please help xo

Mums with older babies

Just wondering if there’s anyone out there that can give me some positive reassurance. I’ve found this whole first year really hard. I thought I was born to be a mum but I really don’t think I’m cut out for it at all. There’s been very few days and weeks I haven’t got completely overwhelmed or felt like I’m not good enough. Just looking to see if anyone who has children who are older now could let me know if they found the first year really tough but better after 1? All I keep seeing is “just wait til they are a toddler” in negative ways and I already feel such a failure😔
