Surface level friendships

Is it just me or is anyone else finding new mom friendships when you have little kids just so surface level? There’s no meaningful conversation or connection & after the interaction still feeling empty. I’ve met so many moms but conversations never get to becoming more meaningful. It’s more taking little ones for play dates and not interacting much 😅

I feel like making new friends is hard. People don’t want to be too open and trauma dump off the bat but also surface level stuff isn’t what will get me planning another hang sesh, plus we’re all so tired and drained! I don’t know anything but maybe it helps when a meetup is more centered around like a creative or adventurous activity that gives people more meat to talk and bond over

Bumble bff

Anyone made friends from bumble bff? I am considering using it. This app is lovely for support in app but can't seem to make any real consistent friends that want to actually hang out in real life here.

Anxiety

I am really struggling with my anxiety lately, even just thinking about leaving the house sends me into a panic attack.
I'm on medication and I do some coping techniques but some days that isn't enough.
I don't know what else to do.

Struggling with hayfever

Is anyone else struggling with hayfever? Mine is absolutely awful at the moment, eyes are swelling and watering, sneezing 20 times in a row and if my nose isn’t running it’s blocked. Went through the GP to get some tablets because a pharmacist told me they wouldn’t let a pregnant person buy any over the counter. Long story short, despite being clear I’m 10 weeks pregnant, the tablets the gp has prescribed say ‘do not use if you are pregnant’ 🫠 he’s also prescribed some eyedrops which I think are fine if they are prescribed by a gp (the leaflet doesn’t say to explicitly not use them) but I kind of don’t trust that they’re okay.
Does anyone use any tablets and know they are safe during pregnancy?

I’d love to genuinely know if there are other mums out there wanting this like I do?

I’m a mama of three on the Gold Coast who, in all honesty, has spent years searching for a real community of mothers. Women who are devoted to their kids AND to themselves. Mothers who are in the thick of it but still crave the things that light them up as a woman, alongside other mums who genuinely get it.

I’m creating a new community on the Gold Coast centred around regular, curated experiences for like-minded mothers. Think a Saturday morning Pilates class followed by coffee, an afternoon pottery and wine workshop or a meet and soak session at a local bathhouse. Experiences that are social, nourishing and exclusively for members.

Would you go to something like this?
