How many weeks after a C section were you driving?

I have had my second C section 4 weeks and 1 day ago. I recovered very quickly after both sections but more so this time. I have been running for over a week with the pram and my husky dog. I have been able to do sit ups without any strain, pain or any signs of being uncomfortable.

I would like to drive even though I’m not at the 6 week clearance. My husband is being a stickler for rules and is worried about our insurance. During my last pregnancy/ section recovery, I asked the doctor to sign me off, but they said they were happy to have me self certify but wouldn’t personally sign anything, so that isn’t an option.

Anyone have any advise/ experience?

I was back driving my eldest to and from school (10 minute drive each way) at 10 days, probably not advisable but needs must.

I did ringy insurance and they said that there weren't any actual rules or policies about it there end so if I felt happy and comfortable driving and I was off pain killers which I was, they were more than happy for me to drive

Running? Sit ups?

In Canada you can drive whenever you feel comfortable. My doctor just said as long as I felt safe to look at my blind spot and slam on the brakes, I was fine. So I was driving like 4 days postpartum.

Although it comes up a lot on here and I’ve learned the UK is a bit different. To check with your insurance company.

There is no rule in my state. I didn’t take any narcotics so I drove pretty soon after both. About a week after my first and 3 days after my second
