Larger than average baby at nearly 36 weeks

So I've just been to a scan appointment and my baby is measuring more than 97th percentile. I've been screened for gestational diabetes which was normal and my amniotic fluid is normal. They have discussed for another scan in 2 weeks time and discussed induction at 39 weeks if still off the chart. This is my 2nd baby who came on due date naturally and was nearly 8lbs so this is all new to me. Anyone else experiencing anything similar to this? Anyone willing to share their experiences good or bad?

At 35+5 weeks my baby weighed 7lbs4oz,this is my 6th big baby and I know what the experience has been like.
I pushed for induction at 38weeks.

I’m 33 weeks tomorrow and my baby is on the 91st centile he’s my 3rd baby I’ve been tested to gestational diabetes and it came back positive hopefully they start looking into being induced around 37-38 weeks

I'm in the same boat. Currently 37 weeks. I was told last week baby was above 97 centile. I've got another scan in 2 weeks. This pregnancy feels harder and bump bigger than my first.

exact same boat as you!! FTM my gestational diabetes test came back normal and everything else i always get told is perfect, they spoke about possible induction but booked me in for a scan for 38w as my baby needs to be 1lb heavier for them to do an induction. they don’t like inducing anyone before 39w now as they did some studies and it was safer for the baby to have a little bit extra cooking time, i just hate not knowinggg!! i will admit, i did cry yesterday after them telling me this 1. because i’m absolutely over being pregnant, 2. i’m in a lot of pain, 3. i’m ready to meet my baby boy!! it’s a lot to take in especially as they don’t know and you don’t, it can make you feel a bit helpless and you dk if you’re coming or going, my dms are always open if you want a chat❤️

It can be off, i heard from people who birthed a baby ‘smaller’ than the one they scanned a couple weeks prior 😂 but either way big baby alone isnt reason for an induction if you have no GD and no other issues and you Don’t want an induction you can decline it.
I have had two big babies born naturally with spontaneous labour first at 39 weeks second at 40+2.
Havent had any growth scans for this one but bump measures at 98 centile, i would be surprised if she was small 😅

Not sure why this is on my feed as mines a June 2024 baby😅 but my son was predicted to be around 9lb when I was measured above 90th centile and measuring 1-2 weeks ahead. But when I got induced at 38 weeks he was 7lb 9oz so it can definitely be a bit off. I was only induced due to preeclampsia but you can definitely decline induction if you don't want it. I'd just bare in mind that a lot of inductions can end in C-section x

Guys.

My butt looks awful after having twos kids. 😭
I had my daughter back in 2022 and I got mom butt. After losing some weight it got a little better. Had little brother in November and here we are again and it looks worse this time. Flat and like I have dips on the sides; kinda like hip dips but a little lower. Any tips or literally any help with this?? 😅

Vaginal birth after emergency c-section

My sons birth ended in an emergency c-section due to complications. He will be nearly 4 and a half when I give birth this time. Has anyone had a vaginal birth after an emergency c-section?

Due sooner than expected!!

So I’m due July 12th and I’m curious how do contractions feel? Where are they located? Sometimes I get sharp pain around my crotch or on it after sitting and I’m wondering if that’s a contraction??? This is my FIRST pregnancy so I appreciate honest answers and if you need to comment something rude then scroll 🙏

Round Ligament Pain — am I dramatic?

Hey everyone! Wondering what you alls experience is with round ligament pain? I recently have been experiencing rather severe (severe for a mama who has had relatively no bothersome pregnancy symptoms until this) pain! I described in great detail the pains I am feeling to my doctor and she diagnosed it as round ligament pain & has even given a referral to PT that I will be scheduling tomorrow! It literally feel like my bones are dislocating at the bikini line — as if I’ve slammed myself into a split (never before done) and it hurts to walk and move! Has anyone had this experience and what helped? (I know RLP is a part of the experience but wow I feel like I’ve broken a bone and can’t walk lol)
