I’m thinking of having a home birth, I have a 1 year old and 9 year old and if I go into labour at night it’ll be so hard to arrange getting them picked up or dropped off to family. I have family pretty close by, but should it be 1am I’m sure it’ll be very hard to get to kids organised. Nervous about a home birth simply because it’s unmediated. I have had two deliveries without epidural before but I did have gas and air and other pain medication to ease everything. Also worried that my neighbours are gonna be woken up at 2am with screaming. So much to think of, what is everyone’s plans and reasons if a home birth is chosen.

I'm also considering it.
My child care plan currently if I have a hospital birth is to have my husband call around our local support to come and sit in the house until my parents who are 2 hours away can get here. I feel that is easier than trying to get the kids ready and go anywhere.
