Grandparents helping out

How much do grandparents help out?
Or do they not offer at all?
Interested in working parents, do they help in reducing days baby/child needs to be in nursery? Kids school holidays etc?

Do people think the boomer generation have the wrong reputation in not wanting to help with grandkids?

My mum and dad have him at least once a week in the day, he’s 4 months on Tuesday and they’ve had him overnight 3 times. When I go back to work they plan on having him for 2 days of the week with an overnight stay. However, they’re retired in their early 60s, and it’s their first grandbaby!
My husbands parents will have him whenever we ask but don’t want to have a set day because they didn’t with their other grandchildren, but they’re super happy to help whenever they can - again though, they’ve just retired in their late 50s/early 60s!
I know I’m dead dead lucky to have them!

I work full time, lg goes to the childminder 3 days and my mum has her 1 day (partner is home the 5th day) while I'm at work.
My partners parents are all heavily involved in helping with all their grandkids too.

I have 3 older children and I've always been very lucky that my ex in laws are and were always happy to help. (Theyre much older than my parents).

My husband's parents have offered 1 day a week once I go back to work because they know I want this time with our daughter up until then. They always want to be around and want to help because it's their first grandchild. My mum lives in a different country so can't help as much and it's her 5th grandchild but she will always come whenever she can. I know that our daughter will need to go into nursery once I go back to work though which I am dreading x

Both sets of grandparents are mid-50s-60. I work 3 long days a week and each set babysit 1.5 days each around their own jobs too. I'm extremely lucky to have them but they absolutely love her and would probably steal her away even more if they could 💗

Pull out method

I’m 2 days late for my period. I’m going to go and buy a pregnancy test in a minute. Has anyone actually got pregnant from the pull out method.

Does anyone know of a good book that speaks about adoption

We have no adopted children but my son's cousins are adopted, my mom was, and my best friend's son.
Recently my 4 year old has been asking questions so I lightly talked about it with him, but I'm looking for more resources so I can make sure I'm phrasing everything correctly.

Conflicting results

Had my first positive test yesterday with a clear blue digital. Took the test this morning to see how far along we are and it was negative.
Did another digital one this morning and it’s positive so have had 2 out of 3 positive. Any one ever experienced this with the digital tests?

Background is that I got my coil removed after 8.5 years end of April and didn’t have a period between then and getting the positive so not able to count from first day of last period

Deployment

When your other half is deployed do they send money back for your child/children?

Like he gives one of his children money as she’s with mam most times anyways, but I’m just curious as to weather other people get “child maintainence ” while there deployed even though your still together?
