My 22 month old throws multiple tantrums a day. I know it’s normal but how are we coping with them?
I keep losing my temper with them and end up telling my child off but I know it’s not their fault and it’s their development.
But they’re really aggressive with them.
Two days ago they tantrumed because they didn’t want to get in the car and wanted to walk home.
Today they tantrumed three times in quick succession, once to get out of their trike to walk (which is not normal for them as they love their trike), then because they didn’t want to hold my hand to cross a road, then because their teddy at home fell off a piece of furniture.
Normally they pass pretty quick and we laugh them off, but the one two days ago ended in a chunk of my hair almost being pulled out, they almost broke my glasses and hit me so hard on the face they gave me a headache.
I love them to pieces but I don’t know what to do to stop the violence when they tantrum.
In contrast, most other times they just lay on the floor and scream which is easy to deal with.
Just one very exhausted mumma
