Hi mama! What's worked for my now 3mo daughter is to VERY slowly lay her down on her side, feet touch the bed first, then booty, back and head. Then I let my boob rest on her face for a little so she can settle and still feel like we're together. Then I slowly pull away. Sometimes I put my warm palm to her cheek so she thinks she's still resting on me.
Also, I try to put on the sound machine and music before trying to set her down before an unexpected noise messes everything up 😅 aka my toddler son

I still contact nap and my boy is a year old, when I know he’s deeply asleep on me (usually his dummy will fall out his mouth) I’ll slowly and carefully move him to his crib and he’ll stay there asleep for a good couple of hours during the day and I’ll do the same at night and then he sleeps right through til the morning with no wakes during the night.

I stopped contact naps at 8 months because he wasn't sleeping very long on me anymore. Just started with the cribs then for naps honestly

SLEEP WHEN BABY SLEEPS.. or not 🤷🏽‍♀️

So my sister sent me this picture today and I found it quite funny because this literally sums up my life lately! I have been sooooo tired because I was not following the “sleep when baby sleeps” rule and I realised I was not doing myself any favours so I now take that rule very seriously and make sure I get some sleep at every given opportunity!

Have you been sleeping when baby sleeps or are you doing everything BUT sleeping?

Don’t worry this photo was taken at my parents house with everyone present so baby girl was more than safe sleeping on me before the parenting police try and come for me🙃

Newborn Nights

What does your night look like with a newborn at the moment?
Mine often won’t settle in the Moses so myself and my husband are up in the living room doing shifts.
Ideally would like to get both of us back in the bedroom and bubs in the next to me/moses.
Any tips welcome! Formula fed baby drinking every 2.5hrs around 60/100ml over an hour feed (one week old).

Water stuck in dummy

Hi just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to get water out of the dummy teat? I sterilised in boiling water and when I took them out the teats all have water in them. One is a tommee tippee, another is a mam and another is a Tesco one if that makes any difference. Thanks!
