Breastmilk

Can anyone help as to how I can get rid of my breast milk?
Baby still won't latch after a tongue tie release, I've pumped but I'm so engorged I can't take it anymore. Me and my partner are arguing all the time and I hate seeing my little boy frustrated.
I want to get rid of my milk so I've got my normal boobies back...
How can I? Do i just leave them alone?

Sometimes baby’s need some time after a tongue tie release however if you are wanting to stop

A gentler approach to just stopping is often:
Express or pump just enough to relieve pain, not enough to fully empty your breasts.
Gradually reduce how often and how much you pump over several days.
Wear a supportive (but not overly tight) bra.
Use cold packs or chilled cabbage leaves between feeds/pumping sessions for comfort.
Take pain relief such as ibuprofen or paracetamol if you’re able to take them.
Watch for signs of mastitis: fever, flu-like symptoms, red/hot areas on the breast, or worsening pain. If those occur, contact a healthcare professional promptly.

Have you tried nipple shield that helps as well

Best thing to do if you are wanting to completely stop is to just leave them alone. Wear a supportive bra and try not to stimulate them. Avoid the shower water directly hitting your breasts as that can stimulate milk production too. They will feel hard and tender for a short time but it’s just part of the process unfortunately. xx

Normal grandad behaviour

Apologies for this post, I've never had grandparents and my child does - so I dont know whats normal.

I have a toddler (2), her grandad; tickles her (randomly in random situations), kisses her (requests if when saying bye), pats bum , hugs (requests it), and whispers to her (randomly)

Unsure if this is normal. Please note I am also freshly postpartum with postpartum anxiety and all this news about paedophilia is really getting me worried.

Today made a joke when she was eating ice cream "wide mouth, come inside".

My mom

Omg, my mom is straight up annoying me. To the point where I just want to give her my baby and move on with my life (I’m married and have one child lol)

She literally thinks she’s the mother of my child. She keeps making comments saying I should start solids with my 5 month old soon to be 6, but he’s not even sitting up by himself yet. I told her he’s my baby and I’m the mother not her. I told her she already had her kids and did what she wanted, now let me do me.

Yesterday we went to get out pedicure and my baby was looking at me and smiling at me when she was holding him and the pedicurist said “aww he knows who mama is” and she said “yeah he’s always happy when I hold him” 💀 I wanna tell her off and I already did but man she’s doing too much. She takes care of him while I go to work so she literally sees him more than I do and STILL wants to see him on my days off when she should be doing something else.

Like I love how she loves my son but damn let me breathe as a mother.

Vitamin D drops

How are you giving your babies the vitamin D drops? Midwifes told me to put it drop by drop on nipple but now she is eating less frequently thats not really possible! Health visitor said to do it on my finger
Can I just drop it directly into her mouth? She holds her mouth open for it so it's easy enough but wasn't sure if there was a reason they couldn't have it all in one go!
Thanks!

Dream feeds?

Does anyone do formula dream feeds when they go to bed & Does it work?
My LO is 12 weeks and sleeps around 7 hours on the first stretch (sometimes up to 10hr sometimes 5hrs) but with his bedtime that makes it around 3am - I wondered if offering a ‘dreamfeed’ like huckleberry suggested would help extend so he could maybe start going longer or even sleeping through til morning but im scared i mess his routine up or i wake him too much and he thinks its morning or something, sleep is a fragile beast haha

Formula on holiday

Has anyone travelled to Majorca recently with a baby on Kendamil Ready-to-Feed?

We’re staying near Cala d’Or and I’m trying to work out the best option. My main worry is the night feeds as my baby still has at least two feeds overnight, so I don’t know what my best option is. We use a prep machine at home!

Any tips or experiences would be really appreciated!

Arguments

My partner and I have been together 2 years and have a 3 month old together. We’ve always had petty arguments nothing serious but ever since having our baby it seems as though we are arguing more often. I don’t know if it’s because we are both young or it’s the change in our lives. Is this normal ? Has anyone experienced this ? And does it ever go away or maybe it’s a sign that we aren’t compatible?
