Would you allow a relative without any experience of looking after children to take your just turned 3 year old out without you?
For context, he is my brother, 30 years old and no kids or experience with kids. He has offered to take my son out so I can catch some rest while pregnant, but we don't see him regularly as he lives a couple hours away and is often busy. I don't know if it is pregnancy hormones but I feel anxious about him taking my kid out as I feel he doesn't understand enough about how to keep a toddler safe (roads, hazards, choking, etc).

Also, if no, what age WOULD you be ok with him taking the kid out?
Depends on the toddler, how responsible the adult is and where they are going. If your gut instinct is telling you it's not a good idea then go with your gut. Maybe they could stay at your house and offer you support while you are around
