I honestly can’t believe my husband right now. He flat out said that the fact that women who are getting older makes it more difficult to get pregnant makes it imperative to start trying to have kids (or more of them) if you want more, regardless of if if you are feeling ready for them because it’s more difficult every year

He’s referring to the "biological clock ".

Two ways to look at it really. Its not good to try for a baby if you dont feel ready for another. But he isnt wrong about the biological clock (and secondary infertility is also a thing) so he is kind of saying it could take a long time to get pregnant again, so start trying earlier to factor that in. Problem with the latter is that you could fall pregnant the month you start trying (theres no way of knowing), and then you would be pregnant, not ready, and possibly a bit resentful about it
