My consultant today said that they’d book me in for an elective c-section for 38 weeks (I’m high risk due to a previous stillbirth) which is on the day we’re due to go to Center Parcs for the weekend 😅 I know you can’t plan these things BUT I wanted to know how flexible they can be with dates? Obviously if they strongly advise against it we’ll just move the booking to after the Baby’s born (we can’t do earlier), and she seemed open to it and told us not to change the booking just yet - I was just hoping for some nice, relaxing family time before baby arrives as I’ll obviously be anxious just before.

I had a full term stillbirth and I think you always have to weigh everything up - will you be more anxious waiting for a 38wk section or more anxious at Centre Parcs 38+ with a few extra days to wait?
You have to do what’s best for you x

A trip this far into your pregnancy isn't worth your health or your babies. I would plan it for 38 weeks because it's passed 37 and you're likely to have a healthy delivery and baby without any further complications. Anxiety is only going to make it worse for your mental health and you rather be safe than sorry.
