First Postpartum Period

Hi guys, just a quick one. I am 7 weeks PP via C-Section and I have been on my First period for 2 weeks now. My lochia bleeding stopped week 4 then I had a weeks break. The bleeding is quite heavy and is not getting lighter. I have cramps but they feel like normal period cramps. Is this normal 🥲. Please help!

My period came and was similar, it didn’t do the normal slow then heavy then slow down, it was just heavy for 5 days then completely stopped

Hey, I'm 4weeks pp and I've been to the doctor who suspects the light bleeding I have is my period trying to come back. A midwife also told me this is very normal. Hope that helps and that the cramps ease soon!

Hiya, im 7 weeks today and been bleeding since friday. I have heavy gushes then nothing for a couple of hours, some small stringy clots aswell, weirdly though I only have cramping in the morning for a couple of hours then by then evening they're gone x all the best x

I didn’t have a c-section, but just wanted to say I stopped bleeding and then a couple of weeks later started again. It wasn’t a period but was just some fresh postpartum bleeding, so it can be really normal for it to stop and start. The fact it’s been going on for 2 weeks makes me think it’s still postpartum bleeding but do go to the doctor if you are worried at all. However you give birth, the placenta leaves a wound the size of a dinner plate so it takes a long time to heal. It’s possible you are moving more as you feel stronger after the c-section and that’s what’s caused more bleeding x

It sounds more like pp bleeding returning than a period to me given the time frame and length it’s lasted x

In shock after labour

I previously shared that I was overdue and my husband’s sisters had requested to know all the detail’s of my labour, which we agreed he would simply say it was fine.

I gave birth and I still haven’t processed how traumatic it was. It ended in an emergency c section under general anaesthesia due to an infection. Being fully dilated for hours.

In a family group chat; they asked him “how was the whole ordeal?”, I haven’t read his response but he casually mentioned that he told them I had a c section.

Even just that detail alone has filled me up with rage and disgust toward him. I’m so deeply hurt that he even shared something as simple as that.

I haven’t processed it at all and it only happened today I’m just in shock and traumatised by the experience.

Need support/words of encouragement

Looking for positive stories. I am almost 3 weeks post emergency c-section and my insides still are so uncomfortable and I developed a seroma in my incision (fine otherwise but leaking a lot of fluid. Doctor said it’s not infected). I’m so tired and overwhelmed with this. I still can’t lay on my sides, and I feel so sore.

C-section overhang

I know our bodies are so amazing, but I am 8months pp and I’m really struggling with the weight gain and the c-section overhang. Any else in the same boat?🥺😭
